Default eBay analytics app

Ironically just yesterday I was thinking eBay would never incorporate analytics into its search engine because it would show just how brutally its biased

But go figure, today I see "eBay analytics app" [Not a phone app, its right on eBay]

I tried to install it and it says "only available to members registered to certain sites"

I'm on .com so no idea where it works. I was to busy to dig into it at the time

I'm very interested to see how detailed it is. Anyone able to try it yet?

They call it an "app". But best i can tell its just part of eBay site. Whomever decided to promote it is likely just trying to make it sound cool in a lame iphone way

Pretty sure its just on the site and nothing is installed locally

Firefox is on the list

But it sounds like something installed to browser. Not cool. I was hoping it was just like google analytics. But guess not. eBay would certainly bitch the stats anyway

I would like to see what info it actually tracks. A real analytics program would be very useful. But I bet it very limited information.

So you got as far as trying to install and it said you dont have the right browser? All I got was I was registered on wrong site.

Just a follow up. Have this running on an account

Its just web based right on eBay site. Developer calls it an app because it sounds "iphone" cool I guess

Not a huge amount of info compared to say Google. But there is info there that can be pretty handy

Impressions
Clicks
Click through
Sold items
Sell through
Watchers
Sales

Its worth adding since its free and just on the eBay site. Some valuable info even if its limited. No download or anything dangerous. It does show whats getting attention and whats not at a glance

Cheers

Go to Vendio.com

They have a research analytics app for eBay.

The information IS limited, but you can see how many of a particular items old over the past 90 days, the percentage of listings that were successful, the average sales price, etc.

It also allows you to analyze by SELLER.

And it tells you the best time to list and the features to use to boost sales.

It's not 100%, but it DOES help. And for $20 per month, it is worth it.
