ebay refunded only half of the amount to me?!
 

hey ev1:)

I've recently had an item not received case as a buyer, ebay made a decision in my favor, and refunded the money...
but when I login to paypal I see that they only refunded the half of the amount?!
(2 items from the same seller, totaling $600 - $300/each, and only $300 refunded)

I cannot find any contact details for ebay, and since the case at paypal was closed because it was filed in ebay, I have noone to contact...

filed it for the whole purchase, since it was shipped together...


live chat is a joke I guess... I always get this msg:

Been like that for some time this long delay with them. As for their Help system, I awlays get unavailable :tears:

At a long shot, maybe phone paypal, cry a little & see if they could transfer you to ebay. I've done that with success. :pop2:

I've got this theory. Someone gets suspended from eBay. I think many have been through that here. You Think?

So now they get back on and are doing pretty well. Then one day some asshole
leaves a really bad FB and DSR probably undeserved. Then a couple more DSR dings and their search standings drop and they cant sell ****.

What do you think happens at that point. They have a couple hundred dollars sitting in Paypal, bills to pay and a destroyed eBay account due to very restrictive and destructive rules.

Well, this seller cleans out their Paypal account not because they are a criminal but they need the dough and eBay crippled their seller account.

I see this happen over and over again. Then after a year or so eBay gets a little tougher which hurts everyone.

Anyway, my theory is that the more eBay tightens things the more the buyers suffer as evidenced here. My guess is you will never see that other 300 again. That seller has cleaned out their Paypal account and is done with eBay again until they get the drive again.

Look for a "note" in the refund details or the email paypal sent you with the refund details.........is there something that says "we were only able to recover blah blah blah amount....we will try and get the rest blah blah blah".......
