Are you attempting to list a counterfeit or non-authentic item? Are you aware the listing of such items is not allowed on eBay?
If you continue, your listing will be flagged and promptly reviewed. If your listing appears to offer a counterfeit or non-authentic item, it will be ended and your eBay account could be suspended. We may also refer your listing to the relevant company or law enforcement for review.


I don't want my account to get suspended from selling, and the item im selling is authentic. What do I do?

Was that the exact message you got? Never seen this message before, it sounds a little funny, but you have nothing to worry about because as you say the item is authentic. Worst that could happen is the listing gets flagged and removed, if they do "refer your listing to the company or law enforcement" you have nothing to worry about in that case.

And you won't get suspended for one listing violation, you'd probably get suspended for 7 days, but it usually takes a minimum of three to get suspended indefinitely. Just remember to use a lot of detailed pictures and whatever else you can provide in the listing to prove authenticity.

I get this all the time on numerous accounts when listing, it's never caused me a problem. But if it's a new account that hasn't been established, weigh up your options. It's a common protocol at eBay when a user attempts to list a Vero item.

thanks guys. its a pretty old account(jan 06) not a whole lot of selling history though, just 6 items in the past 12 months

good call, yes it is a handbag. i listed it about an hour ago and it says its selling but when I search for it it doesnt show

I get it all the time, never gave me any problems. They are just making sure you are aware of their policy again counterfeit merchandise and giving you some "tips."

The reason it wont show straight away on the search results are because the account hasn't been used much, you haven't sold loads of these items and therefore eBay cannot trust you and apparently the 'flag' your item for review.

ebay will have a list of all counterfeit goods......
anytime you type a word in a search title thats the same as a vero item it automatically gives that message,
e.g type in necklace...no problem type in tiffany & co necklace you get the above message,as aking said they are reminding you or making you aware if their policys on vero goods

i sometimes get this when i put my "jewellery" on. i just go back & put in different category & voila, all ok to list
