Help! I just opened an ebay account. Unable to subscribe to 'Basic Store'...
 

I just opened an ebay account and added/confirmed the credit card. Also linked up my paypal account. Everything seemed to go ok. However when I try to subscribe to add a 'BASIC STORE' for $15.95/month it says "Sorry, but you do not meet the following requirements. We are unable to process your subscription. To Successfully subscribe to Basic Store you must first have an Active Seller Account'.

Help! am I doing something wrong?

You linked your account to PP and CC, that does not make you a seller. Did you forget to go sign up as a seller? Go to sell an item and it will walk you through the process.

i think you also have to be paypal verified so you have to link a checking account before you can get your store up

I don't know about that, but I would definitely put it past them. You should be verifying soon with Paypal anyway right, even if it's stealth?
