This is funny but its not funny. Even MSN is kicking Ebay in their butts. Its talking about a new seller experience trying to unload her laptop but couldn't due to Ebay/Paypal fraud and scams

This article doesn't prove anything other than this person was an idiot to sell to someone in a third world country and on top of that she shipped the same day she got the money. You never frickin do that. Also Paypal will sometimes freeze transactions like that with the same "fraud" alert regardless of whether there was actual fraud or not. The real story should be how Paypal freezes accounts and tricks buyers and sellers into a false sense of security not how they "protected" this dumb woman from her own foolishness.

I had one friend that lost 3k to some random guy for water skies on eBay. He didn't know much about computers and trusted the guy since he talked to him on the phone and the guy sent him pictures of the water skies. So he sent a western union payment and never heard from the guy again. :)

Another friend of mine lost $1200 for a laptop; again through Western Union.

I've probably done over 20,000 paypal transactions the last couple years. And I estimate 1/10 were fraud buyers. It's crazy.

I posted in the past that we need to publish the terror ebay causes. The idea was poo pooed in this forum. Im telling you PRESS is what causes change!
