Can I use old eBay account with new paypal?
 

I recently moved to Pakistan and my Canadian paypal account was suspended permanently for logging in from overseas etc. Otherwise it was in excellent standing.

I had my uncle in Singapore create a new paypal account for me. I even instructed him how to log in once a week to handle withdrawals.

The thing is that my eBay accounts have fantastic feedback and are 100% clean. Since moving to Pakistan, I have change the registration info. on them to reflect my new location. But they are fine. I have tried moneybookers with them, and it sucks terribly. Here is my question.

Could I receive payments from my eBay accounts in Pakistan to the paypal account in Singapore?

What if I removed all old associated ebay canada e-mail addresses etc? I removed the eBay links after the accounts closed and can change the e-mail easily. I can also change the ebay ID names.

I don't think I even have to link the ebay accounts on the new paypal. I can just receive payments to the new e-mail address which I can have added to the Singapore account.

What do you guys think?

The sad thing is that my eBay accounts have perfect feedback and are 2000+ each. Never had a problem, and hardly had any disputes. So, it is incredible that paypal Canada closed the account permanently for international logins.

You probably won't have a problem but there is of course a risk associated with doing it. Also why can't can't you just make another paypal from where you are now?

There is no paypal in Pakistan. Sucks. I can go to Dubai to open one, but they won't allow withdrawals unless it is to a US account. And obviously, my Canadian one is closed.

While I have changed the details on my eBay account, it still was at some point linked to my Canadian and now banned paypal, which makes me nervous. As I said, I removed all association, and changed the ID and addresses etc.

I am considering just creating a fresh eBay account here, and then receiving payments for it on to the singapore paypal.

In my experience it has never been a problem. With eBay's ridiculous DSR rules and two negative feedbacks rules (One month, I made a mistake, and got a nfb, because the buyer was a dick too. And then another buyer read something incorrectly, and left nfb after getting their item, after which they admitted their fault and apologized later, but I was suspended for those two nfbs.), I've created new IDs and added them to paypal without issue.

I actually like paypal's rule for holding payments for 21 days for new accounts. It just means you can withdraw safely later.
