How long to wait to start listing on Amazon?

After opening a Amazon seller account how long should I wait before I start listing items for sale. And of course when I do start listing I will list just a few things at a time. I read somewhere I should wait 15 days. Is that true?

15 days if u want to withdraw immediately after you make a sale and confirm it shipped.

Whenever I start a new amazon account, I have an item up for sell immediately. With new user account and IP address I go to amazon and click on "Have item to sell' and then click on links like how to ship, etc just like a new user should. I sell the item, list 1 or 2 more, then postives should start appearing on feedback.

I don't really wait - start blasting and if it lasts, good - if not, 90 days - I can wait.

Would that be the max time they make you wait before giving you your money?

My Amazon.ca account is under review, and I don't think it's going to end well :P

yea 90 days, and the good thing is you can use a suspended bank acct to withdraw after the 90 days are up.Some people never withdraw and run through there limits in 2-3 days and wait the 90 days so they dont have to use a fresh bank acct

I list immediately, get banned in a week or two then move on. Will get paid in 90 days :D

I list immediately. The way I see it is if you make a sellers account why wait to start selling? Thats kinda suspicious no?

rsot 11-30-2010 10:28 AM

@Hrad, how is your success on amazon.ca?

Haven't tried that - any good?

It's alright, about 1/10 the traffic of ebay.com (at least for electronics)

rsot 11-30-2010 03:03 PM

Ah ok - 1/10th better than nothing but at least you make sales so that's good.

holymoly 11-30-2010 03:06 PM

I'm so glad amazon isn't NEAR like Paypal because I'm fine with waiting for 90 days for the money. HALF A YEAR!!! now that is a different scenario.
