How to verify my made up name?
I just opened a fresh Ebay account with all new info checking acct, phone, gmail ect. So I listed on item and it said I had a 10 item/$500 limit. So I called customer service and the guy says let me pull up some public records and ask you some questions. The problem is the name I made up and the address is a empty house for sale. So he comes back and says I wasn't able to find any public questions so what I will do is increase your limit to 25 items/$1500 limit and I will send you a email so you can fax us a copy of ID card and a bill with your address on it. I check the email and they removed the 1 item I had listed and said my account is suspended until I very my identity and there was also I link to call another customer service rep.
What do I do? I obviously don't have an ID for the name I made up. I can easily create a bill with the address on it, that's no problem. Did I do something wrong? Most of time when I set up a new account there is no limits. One of my very first accounts I had to verify my ID but no problem because it was my real info. I hope I didn't waste a brand new checking account? Any advice or speculation is welcomed. I'm willing to pay for a Ebay account if it will be easier and just link it to a checking account. I don't know I'm just fustrated at this point.
