| | | imjustme | 12-11-2010 09:13 AM | That would be why. It seems eBay is considering any accounts with less than 90 days (3 months) a new seller, and therefor selling limits are imposed. And the 90 days don't count from when the account was opened, but from the first listing. |

Worrying about this as well. | I doubt it. eBay can't possible phone verify every single new seller around the world. They would have to speak every language from every country and handle tens of thousands of calls every day. Impossible. And as eBay has stated on their website, once you're out of the "new sellers" period (3 months selling history + good feedback), you're allowed to list more. Makes sense. |
| imjustme | 12-11-2010 09:36 AM | Remember the purpose of the selling limit is to prevent sellers from selling 100 items, taking the money and running away. If they sell 10 items and run away, the loss isn't as big for eBay as it would be with 100 items. And the reason they impose the selling limit is because they can't manually review every single account or get a call from every single seller. Sellers that have called have reported being on-hold for 1-2 hours, so imagine if every seller called. Most don't call. Just wait out the 90 days, sell what you can and get as much positive feedback as you can. |

I currently have 38 feedback, my limit was raised from 10 items a month to 50 items or 2K in sales.
So just because you reach 20 DSR from selling does not mean the limit will be lifted.
Also, I have 38 feedback, and for some reason I am still under the 21 day hold, or until an item is delivered/feedback.
It used to be, once you got 20 DSR, they no longer held payments.
They also stated for my limits to be raised again, I would have to email them again after 30 days, and they would review my limits again. | How can you have 38 feedback and over 20 DSR on a 30 days old account?

Started selling in November, account is a little over 30 days old. However, multiple emails and phone calls have yielded the same information.
After 90 days to have your limits evaulated lifted/removed, they state you will have to CALL and have them do it, that it won't manually happen.
But I don't know. | That seems to contradict the alert that is written when you submit a new listing, that says selling limits are increased automatically as you build good feedback? |
| imjustme | 12-11-2010 03:11 PM | The limit does indeed increase as you get feedback. I have an account which sold 7 items and had received 4 feedback already. I had 3 more items listed (3+7=10 = limit), but it allowed me to list 3 more just now. So with 4 feedback received, I was able to have 13 active and completed items, as opposed to the 10 initial limit. |
| holymoly | 12-11-2010 06:34 PM | Well actually they have a calculator on the sales page of my ebay that you can check out where your selling limits are...is this because the dates past and you got to sell a few more items like that?
This happened to me... |
| jbluntz | 12-11-2010 06:47 PM | Never saw the calculator before got my first limit yesterday 10 per month or $500 sold 10 iphone screens totaling about $2 now have to wait 30 days that sucks. |

Hope you have read my comments on your other post =) |
Mine did happen automatically, just raised by 10 items more, $ amount stayed the same.
That happened after 90 days with only 6 feedback, though like 19 sold items just lack of feedback. |
| Red X | 05-06-2011 09:40 PM | It is unpredictable, but 3 months with good feedback + good dsr ratings should do the job. |
| subzero3001 | 05-06-2011 11:26 PM | 6 months Took 6 months for my oldest stealth account to lift it and make it unlimited.
I can sell any amounts or quantities now, of course I keep only 3-4 items at the same time but I have not seen limits anymore on that account.
I have over 100+ feedback, they made me top seller and power seller at the same time. Needless to say I EVER EXPECTED to see that on one of my accounts, ever!
