Wrong Date of Birth! Help!
 

Hi.. I recently set up a new ebay and paypal stealth account in my friends name which he kindly agreed to.. when setting up the accounts I stupidly got his date of birth wrong! I have just gone back into paypal and checked the date of birth on there and it said 19/12/1901!!! now I know I got the date a few days wrong but I am sure I did not put that date! So I sent paypal a message saying that the date was obviously inputted incorrectly and gave his real date of birth which is 15/05/79.. the problem is that I can't find anywhere on ebay to see the DOB that I entered on there but according to my spreadsheet that I keep it is 05/05/79...!! so the date of birth on paypal and ebay will not match!

Have I made a big error here!? Even if paypal do change the DOB to 15/05/79 it is still going to be different to the date on the ebay account and if it gets limited will I be screwed?? Is there anyway to change the DOB on th ebay account?

I am really worried that I have made a balls up here which is very annoying as it is something so simple...

no... its fine, never had them ask age

i'm just thinking what if the paypal account gets limited which i'm sure it will at some stage and they ask for photo ID, the driving license or passport has the DOB on it and then will they see that the DOB on the paypal and on the ebay account do not match??

:nono: @bizzy, sometimes they MIGHT ask a DOB. Try not to say 'it's fine' when it's either of ebay or paypal. You know too often it's the reverse.

They will ask for a date of birth if you change information and use a new computer, found out the hard way months ago before I read the guide.

Had a couple of my friends' ebay accts. Months/years of no use, got the permission to use them. Immediately changed address/name/phone #.

Obv this was on a new computer as well.

After you try to list eBay will give you an identity verification stop that prevents you from listing. You call and they ask for DOB and even the DOB/phone number/name of the previous owners.

You're almost 109 years old? You look good for your age.

mine is saying **/**1901 as well :( its my main stealth and still cant find the date of birth anywhere im still hunting

Once I sent in docs to ebay which had a different DoB and they removed the suspension.

Bumping this thread for one thing - just to say that 2 hours ago I've been asked from an eB rep directly when I've given to her my username – she asked "And what's your date of birth?" - of course having it in hands writen into the Excel spreadsheet helped-out.

The important thing is that: DOB on both (PP/eB) must match and do NOT put random DOB :). And write it into the Excel file.
