Default Ebay fees

I had a listing that was reported by what i think is a person selling the same item.He bought 7 items at $150 a pop because i was selling the at buy it now price. He then reported me saying they were ⊗⊗⊗⊗ items and refused to pay for item.I filed a dispute with ebay. He waited till the last day then said he isnt paying because they were ⊗⊗⊗⊗ items. When i asked for my fees back ebay said i wasnt getting them back. The fees are $12.50 a pop times that by 7=$87.50
What kind of crap is that. This ognorant a@@ went into my account and pressed buy it now 7 times and i get stuck with the fees. How is this allowed.

How can you be held liable? Did you start the resolution process on Unpaid item? That will end the transaction?

Some thing seems weird here - unless you did cancel transaction?

Welcome to the forum.

May be just one of their knock off rules. They are pretty hard on sellers that sell counterfeits so they say screw you to listing fees too?

At this point I don't think account has much of a shelf life left so maybe time to move on.

No, not right...if eBay did this...you know how many sellers would be pissed even selling LEGIT items?!?

I'm wondering if after the case is closed, you just file for a "return of FVF". It has ALWAYS worked for me, even up to last week.

ALWAYS make your Buy It Now listing with Instant Payment Required.

Then you will not get burned like that.

As a buyer I really dislike having to pay instantly, I don't know why.

Something to do with combining shipping....

Depends on the items too I think. I have quit a few sales that don't pay for a day or two. Not sure if they would have pulled the trigger if it required immediate payment. Immediate does avoid some troubles for sure too. But I personally think on some items it may dampen sales. But all speculation though. They may wait to pay just because they can...

With Instant Payment Required....

I never have any unpaid items.
I never have people buying items just to run my ads out.
I never have people buying just to leave feedback.

If I lose 4-5 sales a day for not having to put up with that other crap it is worth it to me.

For sure. Depending on what you sell it can be a real advantage. Especially if its competitive and high volume.

I dont have to deal with high volume and competitors [knock on wood] so in my case its worth the odd non payer. But if I was pushing out dozens of sales a day i would have it too

This was a buy it now item.Payment due immediately. This person did this just to get me off of ebay.I bought the item for $46 and was selling them for $150.I sold 5 in 6 hours and this person was angry and reported me.I think my mistake was that i filed to have the transaction canceled i knew he didnt want the items.Im just wondering if i can do anything now.The item was removed by ebay and now i cant find where i can open a case for this item.Any help please would be appreciated.
Thanks

Ugh you tried to have the transaction cancelled and, of course, the guy clicked no. You have no choice but to call eBay now and explain out the situation. You have no resolution recourse, sadly.

Yes, that was the big mistake actually...

Sometimes you gotta learn the hard way, to learn RIGHT.
