Can you ever truly be "anonymous"?
 

Again, having never been in this position, I wonder - having now read a little about the subject - if you can ever be completely out of view. From what little I know, it doesn't seem like you can even get a bank account without giving your information in some form.

You are correct. After 9/11 the government passed new laws requiring all banks to obtain certain information before opening a bank account for a new customer. So while you can be truly stealth depending on your computer knowledge for your Ebay or Amazon account when it comes down to getting paid that is a different story.

Unless you get the money out of Paypal using alternative methods. :spy:

Yes you can be. It requires far beyond the stealth methods described on this forum.

As MadSam has said, takes a lot more than just the setups reported here - a LOT.

Speaks volumes. Hiding the fact you were once suspended from doing business on ebay is one thing. Wanting to be untraceable has no practical use for doing anything on the up and up

yep that is what I say Hiding from an old identity on a selling account is one thing .

You're confusing 'anonymous' and stealth. Even with stealth you can use methods to allow a layer of protection to deal with ebay/paypal. There's always a way around problems :spy:

It was merely a question! You'd think people on this forum lived in glass houses. How is anyone who's "hiding" from eBay being so "honest". Lighten up already!

It was merely replies as well. Nobody accused you of trying to hack the CIA dude.

You really cant be well hidden but you can. I can say I am in real life. I never use my home address for anything, my car is registered to another address besides my home. When i buy stuff at stores and they ask for name and phone number and address for warranty or whatever I never give them real info because stores sell that info. I register my car in a LLC corp..

Best thing to do to be private is just get a LLC corp purely for the purpose of privacy
Privacy is very important these days. its not that i'm paroniod i just love the fact that i'm private.
