Unreceived case with tracking number
 
Recently I sold something and the buyer contacted me that they have yet to receive it. I shipped it through paypal and with USPS and the tracking number says delivered but they are saying no one picked it up. BTW it is an apartment. They have yet to open a case but mostly like will of course.... What is the usual outcome on cases like this?

You should always use signaure conformation. Does not look good son!

It is stupid but if they open up a Ebay Buyer Protection Claim then there really isn't much you can do. If the item sold for over $250 then under Paypal Seller Protection then you must use signature confirmation. Maybe they really didn't receive it but there are lots of scam artists out in this world.

If its over $250 you will lose without sig confirmation. If under you have around 70% chance of winning.

Wouldn't he win if the buyer claims not received? He can provide a tracking number and wala.?

He can win this for sure. I had 3 $100 items buyers tried to pull this **** on. Turn this into a claim yourself and call up paypal. The rep should take care of it for you.

Thanks guys, this guy is for sure a scammer, He is trying to scary me by to open a case and telling me before hand before he does so, it is him saying here is your chance to refund me before I open case. God I hate scum bags like this! I hope I will win, I tried calling ebay but they said they can not do anything until they open a case. I shipped via paypal without changing anything and shipped using USPS. There is no way I will let him get a free product! I just hope he doesnt leave negative feedback, I have been patient and kind with this guy to avoid negative but hopefully he does not.

Well the thing is...did you ship it b4 Xmas? If so...there is your problem. I still have packages in transit that have been shipping for over 4 weeks!

That seems like alot of time for shipping. What are u using... "The Pony Express"?

Its been bad for me too. Just bloody brutal. Many packages sent two weeks before xmas are just landing now

My DSR got bloody HAMMERED. All 4.9/5.0 and shipping time is now 4.3

Someone said that they cant rate time on international shipping times, but they can. I really hate the rating system on ebay.... A lot.

Believe it or not, you will probably win. I've had this happen to me 3 times and every single time, I won. I shipped directly through PP and they closed the escalated cases within 24 hours deciding in my favor. Yes, I thought hell froze over but it really happened.

No, I used first class mail. Delivery projection by 5-6 business days. I guess they forgot to tell me they were taking WEEKS OFF.
