No not really and if you reply to the email the customer won't get it.

Don't think so.
Hitting respond in your email just takes you to your ebay sign in page

I remember using a paid 3rd party program to message someone, but I forgot. Sorry. I haven't sold on ebay for a while, but i know its possible.

I'm pretty sure for programs like that, it would still use the eBay API and sign in from your computer.

Hi mate,

If you are trying to hide your IP address from eBay and don't mind logging in with another address, you can go to your nearest Video EZY, Library or Internet palour and log in from there to respond, and then get the customer to send you their email address, that way you can communicate outside of eBay.

I prefer responding to the message by using customer's e-mail if I have it. Customer gets but only in their e-mail so, as 123 indicated, yes if he/she just checked the eb ay account, it would not be shown.

You can do it via pushauction.com. Same idea as auctiva but they have messages. Its a nice system, but costs $30 a month

You can try free for a little while if I recall. I never went beyond the trial as I think $30 a month was too much for my use. But a good system none the less

I didn't like how it only really worked with new listings and its current/old listing import function was pretty crappy. But again, it does have messages built in and that was really nice

Oh..30 a month is too much. I'm using auctiva $9.95 a month, not too bad, but not as expected, can't revise single listing, only bulk revising, and can't revise the item's quantity as well.
