selling limit of zero. They want proof of ID?

ok so i created a new eBay account and linked it to a verified paypal account that has never been used for eBay, with matching info. Went to list an item and i was told that i have a selling limit of 0. It might be because the type of item it tried to list as my first item, i am not sure. I called them up and they asked me a few painless questions, but want me to send in proof of ID in order to raise my selling limit from 0, i was thinking of getting creative with some documents.

But anyhow, Do you think that if i try to create a eBay account and link it to that same paypal the new eBay account will get the usual 10 item selling limit or it will be a short term death sentence for the account?

Sounds like you got slapped with a MC010. All sellers get that once in a while. I wouldn't waste time trying to get "creative". Just start over with a NEW eBay and PayPal account.

There are tips and secretes that will make the MC010 a lot easier to pass.

Anyways... Do NOT attached that SAME paypal to a new eBay account. I also recommend the stealth book. It's a good read.

wouldnt i also recieve an email notifying me of a MC010. Thats usually how it works, but i have not received any such emails.

What does the email in your inbox say? They just don't slap you with a $0/item selling limit without telling you you're limited.

You sure about that? because i have not received an email at all from ebay except to inform me of what documents to send in. Keep in mind i have never sold with this account before and my first attempt at listing something i see that there is a 0 dollar and 0 amount selling limit.

Wow that must be something new. I'm going to make a new account and see what's going on.

Something must have triggered it. I can't imaging eBay manually verifying every single new seller. It's impossible, it would destroy their business.
