online p.o. boxes.

Hi I just found this and thought it was kinda cool. I don't know how much it costs but it is an online p.o. box. First you pick a remote address, they scan the mail so you can see who it is from in an email and then send the mail to you that you want.
I thought it would be a good idea for non-us ebayers too.

The website is The Ultimate PO Box, Post Office Box and Mail Forwarding Service | Earth Class Mail (sorry don't know how to do the clicky thing).

Oh crap, thats awesome. I wonder if it'll let me use ⊗⊗⊗⊗ info too.

koalawash 02-13-2008 07:43 PM

aaah gimme gimme

Rosanna 02-13-2008 10:02 PM

Love it, thank you!

GreenBean 02-13-2008 10:26 PM

FYI. There is also Welcome to PaperlessPOBox.com® - Postal Mail Via Email

Similar offerings.

ivegotinfo 02-13-2008 11:52 PM

what will you do if someone wants to return an item

GreenBean 02-14-2008 01:18 AM

PaperlessPOBox.com is for scanning mail no parcels at all. If you look at their
site it gives an outline of services.

mantisinc 02-14-2008 01:37 AM

Wow, that's awesome. I never thought there was any kind of service like that!
Is is not a little insecure with someone routing through your mail?

thelizardking 02-14-2008 03:15 AM

They have specific address listed on the site, so if you live or have an account set up in one of those areas it could work. Your IP would have to be from there. You can get a real PO Box for much much cheaper.

I'm pretty sure you'll have to use real info, if not, what's to stop me from collecting Bill Gate's mail?;)

gitrooman 02-15-2008 01:05 PM

I just called them up, and was told that if you cancel your account before the 30 "trial" days are up, they will refund you the money. So now if ebay bans your account within the first 30 days (which 99% of banned accounts are) you can cancel that PO box and get your money back, and make a new one. Rinse and repeat.

Well i dont think its a mail forwarding service. I just tried to make an account with a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name and address and used a prepaid card and it all went through.

I know this thread is pretty old, but just thought I should share some info. Online PO boxes require you sign and send an original copy of the 1593 form provide 2 IDs and it must be notarized.

But, PaperlessPOBox.com doesn't mention this - has anyone used them? I'm scepticle as there website does not look 'acceptable'.

GreenBean 03-15-2008 03:58 AM

Why? Do you not like it because of the ink colors? I used it last year & needed
no ID. However, I did not ask for any USPS redirection of mail.

anthonychan 03-15-2008 05:14 AM

Really? USA2Me and Earth Class Mail both require forms and ID, and when they say notarized they refer this to the process of having the form stamped and signed by some 'official'.

I can only assume that you signed up at a time when they were less strict. The following link explains what I had previously stated:

USA2ME.com - New Customer̢۪s Requirements [ Form 1583 ]

Edit:

Sorry, forgot to ask are you with USA2Me, they say that if you do not sign the form you wont have full functions of there service - is that why you did?

GreenBean 03-15-2008 05:24 AM

OH. I did sign up last year. As yet, no request for this sort of ID. Been with them
over 8 months. Interesting to know, thanks.

anthonychan 03-15-2008 08:23 AM

I have been contacted by 'Nostre' who suggested myus.com, they allow you to use the account but will not forward until you send them the 1583 form.

Has anyone had any experience with myus.com? Prices are really expensive!

But if they scan your documents online then there is no need to have it forwarded.
