How do i get some quick feedback since the changes?

Since sellers cant leave feedback for buyers anymore, how am i supposed to get some feedback? I need at least 10 so i can start listing BINs. If i just auction stuff off it'll take forever.

I dont have my ebay account linked with my paypal account cause i'm using my real paypal account, so if i do link them they will get banned. So now i cant purchase anything iether.

Any suggestions?

Just sell some penny auctions.

Problem is that now since the buyers can't receive feedback comments, none will buy penny auctions.

Very true.

You will have to start selling some random household items, just to get your feedback going.

What?? I thought that sellers could ONLY leave buyers positive feedback now. Did they change something again at the last minute?

Its gonna take forever to get to 10 now. They are also taking away the penny auctions. The minimum is going to be 0.99 auctions. I guess just try to get as much feedback before it goes into effect.

Yeah don't use an old paypal with a new ebay account they will get linked. It is required to have a Paypal to list so make sure one is set up before listing.

Also ive been getting stuff you can pay for with money order, not necessarily for feedback, but just to buy stuff.

Huh? What are you talking about buyers can't receive feedback comments??

thelizardking 02-14-2008 03:25 PM

Hasn't happened yet, but apparently you won't be able to leave feedback for a buyer.

ebayvictim 02-14-2008 04:14 PM

Sellers may only leave positive feedback for buyers. It's not that we can't leave feedback....it's just we can ONLY leave positives!

I think you'll find that, i think it's come May in the Uk, sellers cant leave a Buyer anything but positive feedback, problems foreseen, some sellers are thinking they can just refuse to leave any feedback at all, all that will do, is force Ebay into automatic feedback once a buyer has paid. F*ck knows how that will work with credit card payments or cheqs, can see major headaches in the coming months.. but.. keeps the mind active. :)

Ballsack 02-14-2008 04:19 PM

Hey what's wrong with that? The customer is always right. :)

ebayvictim 02-14-2008 04:21 PM

Here's a quote from eBay's official announcement. FYI, my experience is the exact opposite!!!

"Now, we realize that feedback has been a two-way street, but our data shows a disturbing trend, which is that sellers leave retaliatory feedback eight times more frequently than buyers do ... and this figure is up dramatically from only a few years ago."

scouse12345 02-14-2008 04:29 PM

Scenario for you..

A competitor <--- Don't give a toss if that's spelt wrong :) anyhow.. he/she opens 3 buyer accounts.. and purchases 3 items from YOU, 1 from each identity.. Ebay now forces you to leave 3 Glowing feedbacks, few days on buyer gets the goods, and commences to email you, and tell you, the items are a bag of ***** and subsequently leaves you 3 gleaming RED NEGS, basicly, that selling account of yours is f*ucked, almost instantly your restricted under there Non Performing Seller Policy, and there are plenty of bright enough people to pull down any of your accounts in a matter of days, and completely powerless

I think someone posted earlier.. the buyer is always right.. well Ebay have well and truly jumped on that ship.

Where did you get this information from about taking away the penny auctions? Haven't heard about it yet.

thelizardking 02-15-2008 04:10 AM

Its posted on ebay showing their new fees. I'll try to find the link. Its also been posted a few times on this forum.

ebayvictim 02-15-2008 11:45 AM

You can still run auctions priced between $ 0.01 -$0.99. Fixed price and store listings will start at $ 1.00 after 2/20.
