pre ebay 11/07 accounts
 

What is the significance of e bay and/or pay pal accounts that we're created before 11/07 versus newer created accounts? I've seen this mentioned several times.

Such accounts do not need to use paypal. They can use a merchant account without faxing the documents in.

BUT: and pay attention to these comments.
if the items being sold are in a high risk category, papyal is needed.

if there has been no acitivity on such an account, then ebay regards it as 'new' and treats the seller to MC010, & other treats. Most certainly they are not the pieces of gold they were. But if operated well, then they are most useful. :pop2:

There is no reason to buy 11/07 when you can simply add your merchants account without having to use Paypal now. You used to have to fax the merchant info but now you can simply go to your account preferences and set it up and check credit cards and remove Paypal. 11/07 accounts offer you no more protection then newer ones in fact they actually go down quicker from personal experience. When Auctiva checkout went so did these 11/07's

I run 10-20 accounts with Paypal, But when they do the 21 day hold B.S I sell on my 2 accounts that have merchants attached to them. I am in control of my money not eBay or Paypal, also if a buyer trys to scam me by a non-receipt or not as decribed I let ebay eat it since I attached a gift card for reimburstment fee's.
