Customer service survey - Bit of a joke really

What really pisses me off is when you email customer support (actually, I probably wasn't sober at the time, I don't know what else would urge me to do such a thing), and then you receive a reply 5 days with some automated response.

And then they send you an automated email asking to fill out a survey on customer service. Then it gets worse when you open the email, because it says:

"As part of eBay's commitment to excellence"

Oh yes, whatever love.

"we want to make sure our response met your needs"

Good one.

And then this last bit:

"NOTE: This invitation will expire after five days."

just leaves me thinking, right, I must drop everything I'm doing and accept this INVITATION that I really don't want to expire, to tell ebay just how awesome their CS, and then see my input dissolved by some half witted automated email bot.

I really don't know why they bother.

As IF they even take any notice of what they say anyway!

The stats from these surveys must be going somewhere...but I really don't know where. Certainly not back into the running of the company.

i got an automated response after having some of my auction removed for policy violation. and since none of the pre made responses fit my situation they just sent me a response that was kind of close. i put in my auctions that i accept online payments. which is my merchant account. they sent me an email that said you cannot accept western union payments. WTF?! at least if you are going to screw me over, give me the real reason.
then when you reply it takes 3 days for them to get back to you with another per made email that will not answer your questions.
it is just mind boggling to me that i pay over $3,000 a month in ebay fees and there is zero customer service. they can take your money, ban you from ebay, remove your listing without any reason, and there is no one you can talk to. any bill i pay on a monthly basis there is someone i can call and inquire about the service, except ebay. and i pay them more than any one else. even more than my mortgage!
they're kind of like gasoline. some people have no choice but to use it and get raped every time they do.

What should one expect when part of their call center is located in India?

Utter sh*t to be honest. What really peeves me off is that their responses are automated and I can't get proper answers for genuine important questions. Very appaling customer service for a company as large as eBay.
