MC081 Suspension

So my latest account...3 hours after creating (listing a cheap £4 start auction) got hit with MC081.

I don't like giving up on accounts, and am going to supply them with the photo ID, Address proof and proof I have the items in my possession...but is the account savable or are they just asking for docs to annoy me even more

Before anyone starts...I did do a search, however I can't find any recent info on MC081.

3 hours after creating the account and then listing an item is not acting like a normal user, most likely why you got flaged. You should make some sleeper accounts to let them sit for about 30 days. And possibly buy a few items on them. Then start listing some items slowly

If you really want to save the account, provide the info and then do nothing on it for 4 months.

Why do you suggest that?

Anyway, after emailing the docs to them like they said I could and getting no reply after resending them 3 times, I faxed them in at 4pm. Woke up the next morning account to find I have the account back.

I'm actually tempted to sell heavily on this account, as I legitimate business seller, I don't see why I can't.

Saving the account then doing nothing would look more suspect than selling imo!

i would list on it. some might advise against it but its simple to make another account so i would just go for it.

was this a stealth account or a real account?

i dont get why creating an account and then listing an item for sale is not acting like a normal user? wouldnt a lot of people have something to sell, are not happy with using craigslist so give it a try on ebay? it seems like wanting to sell something would be the very reason to open an account

whenever i open my selling account i always list something right away and its always a video game. fixed price with best offer and $4 shipping. hasnt failed me yet.... knock on wood

Because people get paranoid. Ebay is in business to make money. They make money by people selling stuff. Ebay use to tell people when they open an account to list some cheap items to start getting feedback. They send emails telling people get to selling. If you call up Ebay as a buyer they sometimes will ask you why you haven't started selling yet. Getting people to sell stuff is how people make money. What they usually do with new sellers is they may do a id verify email. Which is why i often will start selling something quick. Because I like to get threw that process.

If Ebay is going to suspend you they don't need you to sell something. They rarely suspend buyer accounts but they will suspend a seller account that isn't doing anything like that.

Just because your a new user doesn't mean they instantly suspend you if you list an item. Now if you list 5 new Ipad 2s that not what a normal user would do. What you sell probably has more importance than just selling.

congrats on getting account, it was a soft limitation....

acting normal means listing and browsing...
