Well...

This took 10 minutes more to create then I thought it would. All 11 minutes used for an all purpose General Discussion forum. I actually made this forum because I wanted to post updates about the forum and website, but there was no appropriate place to post them. So here you go.

I just wanted to say, I have plans to move this site to a Virtual Private Server very soon. It's almost a dedicated server, but I share it with another person to lower the cost. The VPS isn't just for this site, but I've noticed it start to get sluggish since the build up of the forum and members. And if there's anything I've learned about having a successful site is if anything takes too much time to load, you start to lose traffic. With less traffic you have less sales, affiliates, sign ups, and in this case, members. Just letting you guys know. You probably won't even notice the change I'm that damn good. Lol

As for the forum, it's what ever you want to talk about. Just keep it clean, act like an adult and we can get along.

Aspkin maybe you should make an imageboard?

CPUGEEK A VPS basically gives the site more power to do what it needs. If the site was really busy, with 4-5k worth of traffic a day then a VPS might be needed. Another thing is because of the forum, and blog it takes up more resources on the server. A regular shared host basically shares the same resources with hundreds of people compared to a VPS (virtual private server) which shares usually between 2-20 people. The VPS I have shares between two people. I'm using it for my high demand websites and scripts. Aspkin.com isn't too busy but the forum and blog demand resources. It's good for now, but eventually it would take longer and longer to load pages. I want to fix that before that happens.

Jonas that would be very cool; I'll look into the image board for the site once I get things settled with the VPS.
