Gift Card Visa - What information can be seen
 

Okay, I'll try explaining this as clearly as I can...

When paying e Ba y fees (st ea lth account) with a Visa (or MasterCard) gift card, does the name and address registered to the Gift Card need to exactly match the details of the e Ba y account?

I'm having a bit of a tricky situation that won't allow me to give the exact info on the gift card as my st ea lth account. The issue I'm having is the address. What info does e Ba y actually see?

Basically, long story short:

Can I use the st ea lth name on the gift card (that matches the e Ba y account) but use a completely different address? By "completely different address" I mean, rather than a U.S. address, a CDN address.

Most times they just AVS verify, which means the DIGITS in the address and the ZIP CODE must match the information on file.

For Canada AVS, postal code looks to be the key factor. I have tried stuff with diff address number and it gets through...
