Default # of Items Sold or Amount of $ Earned = Tracking?

Hey everyone I was just wondering. Do you think eBay gets interested and tracks certain accounts that sell a lot of items weekly or earn a lot of money weekly?

Of course they do. Especially on newer accounts.

of course. ebay tracks for marketing statistics and for logistics. (Find the bad guys lol).

What is the basis of your question though? A concern the same item might ID you or something less sinister

Hypothetically theres over a million accounts on eBay, how are they going to track eveeryone? I find it hard to believe that not only they have millions of accounts but to sit around and watch a select few which could be thousands.

The only way ebay bans you is if you have very poor feedback, or if your doing something obvious for example: feedback manipulation for instance selling 99 cent ebooks. All they have to do is search 99 cent ebooks, look up the persons and account and bam.. your gone if you look risky.

They don't just randomly find you, some of the people on this forum over-exagerate imhhto.

Sorry, but you are mistaken. No, of course it would be impractical for eBay to have live people looking at everything each account does. That would never happen.

But they have programs running that look for things they know are risky for them. A new account selling a lot of items, or even an older account doing a large dollar volume gets flagged by their programs and those accounts are manually reviewed. If everything looks OK, then maybe the account passes. But if they are unsure, then you can expect to be limited or to have your account closed.

That is called automation.

As repeated many times. Slow and steady wins the race.
