After reading Stealth---great info!!!

would there be problem if I used some info. of a person not with us anymore to get ebay? (I'm sure i can probably just answer own question) only issue if I had to mail/fax info

also could this person sign up for paypal, but I us my bank acct. to verify?

last once had paypal acct. 4 years ago-suspended. if i link my new bank acct. number will they link old information?

If you are implying using the ID of a deceased person, then it is ID theft and forget it AND the forum if you persist.

Let me guess,,,Hmmm,,,Could it be because you have access to that Persons Social Security Number?

Well let me tell you this, there exists a Social Security Number Death index and Paypal and Amazon Automatically Check ALL SSN's against it so if it shows up there,,You are Gone,,,

That would be the ONLY Reason to consider such a Move and it Does Not work,,,GUARANTEED,,,,Besides Most members here will have a Very LOW Opinion of you Me included if you committed such an Act,,,Now you would not want that would you?,,,,Somehow I get a Feeling that you Do Not Care what People think of you,,,Maybe this Forum is NOT The Place for you,,,You may want to consider "Packing up"

In the US, when someone dies, the funeral director is obligated to inform the Social Security Administration of their death.

The SSA puts out a list called "The Social Security Death Index". It contains the names, last county of residence, date of birth, date of death and SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER of each person who died in the US. It goes back to at least the 1960's. Anyone can purchase this list. It is updated monthly and costs about $10k per year for a subscription.

To combat identity theft, Trans-Union, Equifax, Experian, Banks, Credit Unions, and MOST LIKELY eBay and PayPal buy this list for their database.

The minute you give them a social security number, they will KNOW the person it belongs to is deceased. At that point, if you can't explain this, you are in REAL TROUBLE. Not just with eBay/PayPal, but also with law enforcement.

Bottom line is DON'T DO IT!

Why do so many people persist in this line of thinking? The BEAUTY of STEALTH is that you CAN fool eBay and PayPal WITHOUT breaking the law. Why break the law when you don't have to?
