Troll has copied my photo and text.
 

So a buyer cancels his order. I ask him, "was there was a problem?"
He tells me no, he simply got for the same item half price on my "other auction".
Hmm...
So now I know it must be someone else's auction he bought it from.
Didn't take me long to find out another seller had copied my ad's photo. Even the text is copied line for line!:mad2:
To make matter's worse, he is offers a buy it now for half the price of my average bid!! $%#!:ahhhhhh:
I have wrote to him twice but he is not answering me.
I know he won't last more than a month with the low profit margin he has.
My problem is obviously, my profits have taken a nose dive, at the same time whether or not my buyers are thinking myself and the troll are one and the same, he is offering a substantial discount.

Report the listing then.

I don't normally encourage reporting, however this is one thing that winds me up!

Report him, eBay are normally pretty good to take down listings like that, and you can get back to selling again :clap:

Tell him that you reported his listing. Scare him off. He obviously reads your messages, but also he knows that he is wrong.

I wouldn't bother doing that. Especially if a stealth account, even if it isn't. Do you really want to get into a war with someone? What if he starts reporting all your listings? Just getting hassle for you isn't it!

All you need to say is "Your listing has been reported to ebay". That is the right thing, and the only thing to do if he/she is not replying to your messages. Why would I keep losing money, because some jackass is copying my listings/pictures, and offering 50% discount? sorry, that is not gonna happen.

Hooray! Troll is gone! It took a month but now I can go back to selling for a profit.:clap:
I had stopped listing for a few weeks and came up with a variety of new things to sell.
Now it appears troll has fallen of the face of the earth.:amen:

That is wonderful. Sometimes it's things like this that make you become more creative and think of other profitable items to sell.

I had issues like this for someone myself a while back.

All I did was send a message that you are in violation of the TOS and if it is not gone quickly I will report it and it was gone.

BUT they came back under another name and repeated it over again so I reported it and it only took a few days to fix it.

I stop selling on that account for a while and they never came back.

Keep your eyes open if they come back again.
