| | | 2000chevyman | 04-09-2011 10:34 AM | so far i have passed the 2 month mark on stealth... so far iv been on ebay stealth for 2 months of selling.
i have been using 3 stealth accounts, nothing linking me to any past accounts.
is 2 being on ebay stealth for 2 months a good or is it to early to tell if im going to be 'linked'? |
| Red X | 04-09-2011 10:46 AM | Hanging on to a stealth account for 2-3 months is pretty good, alot of users get booted within days to weeks. |
| 2000chevyman | 04-09-2011 10:51 AM | yeah iv seen!
before the stealth, i used to created new accoutns and sell...no stealth..i would last about 2 months.
this tiem everything is pure stealth..so lets see what happens... |
| Red X | 04-09-2011 10:55 AM | Good Luck, make your money Mr. Chevy Man, and ride those chrome rims, with the candy paint. LOL |
| 2000chevyman | 04-09-2011 10:58 AM | Thanks RedX!! will do! |
| cobber_gc | 04-09-2011 07:43 PM | Go easy still. I lasted 3 months using a linked paypal account before they spammed my inbox with a suspension notice. |
| ShadyOne | 04-10-2011 05:00 AM | It is really hard to tell because people go easy for the first 90 days, then they increase items but as soon as they list a load of items or a few VERO...bam eBay finds them other accounts.
It is all down to how good you executed them stealth steps I suppose. How much details and effort you have put in. |
| 2000chevyman | 04-10-2011 01:22 PM | so far i have....
used a separate windows account
dial up to go on ebay only
stealth number
stealth address
stealth info
even the pictures and items i used have been altered |

| I think nothing beats executing stealth precisely other than understanding its principles.
If you fully understand the reason behind each step, carrying them out is then like driving a car, it become natural...
...I do not fully understand Stealth myself but I have applied this theory to everything I have done thus far and this is the reason I joined the forum. To learn.
I bet just like me and the other members on the forum, you wish you would have put this sort of effort into eBay when you first registered (before suspension), you may still be on their as yourself ;)
I want to be nosy and ask what you are selling. But GreenBean will edit my post I have to remember to be keep stuff private . |
| Sandy D | 04-11-2011 12:04 AM | Congrats!
You are proof if you go slow and pay close attention to the details that things will and can work.
I have several stealths that are more then a year old and still working well.
Patience and details!!! |
| Mondy | 04-11-2011 03:07 AM | 1st congrats, 2nd separate windows accounts 3rd listing slowly 4th caring of tiny details 5th & last good luck :amen: |
@2000chevyman, how you dealing with slowness of dial-up? |
| 2000chevyman | 04-11-2011 05:20 PM | thanks guys!
it is patience..thats all it is....
dial-up does suck,...but its faster than it was when it first came out...i only use it for ebay...it takes a minute for a page to load up...but once u visted that page...it reloads faster the next time around. basically, any time i list i know it will be a 20 minute process per account. and this is after i have my templates and pics ready. |

| How come you are using dial up then, I must have missed this one on my travels.
Does it give you a new IP everytime you dial up or something?
Or do you live in a cave? |

In most cases we use dialup because it does give you a different IP most of the time.
Go over and read the section on IP's etc.
Chevy- Are you using dialup to answer questions and print postage etc then using auctiva on high speed to list?
If you are not, I use dialup for these things and list on high speed from auctiva.
Hope this helps. |

| I kinda new the answer to be honest, I wanted to know more why you use dial up as opposed to broadband with a dynamic ip (if you have a choice of your ISP that is)? |
I just posted to get a thanks from GB. :D
But seriously... We're happy for 2 months in business? It's gotten that rough out there? I haven't been booted in over a year. |
| GreenBean | 04-11-2011 10:42 PM | Tis a very encouraging thread.
OP has done a lot of work and deserves credit.
It's what we hope to happen for stealthers, IDK :pop2: |
| lengkusoso | 04-11-2011 11:25 PM | hi 2000chevyman
so would you please tell us your detail?
how many items you listed. how much the price each item.and the total sell one month thank you! |

| Yeah I agree, could you just give us some more generic information to back your claim to 2 months even more. :thumb:
2 months isn't really that long but if it is one of your first stealth accounts then that is good because a lot of people make mistakes with their first  Quote:

Anyone beat that? :fight: |
Dial-up is nice, true in spite of long load-up times and occasionally Pa yp al failing to load completely. |
| 2000chevyman | 04-12-2011 10:48 AM | When i go on dial up..i do anything ebay and everythign ebay related there including listing items and uploading pics and using paypal
so far im only listing 10 items per month and can re-list the saame items if i dont sell them.
im mostly selling books and paperbacks, and they are low-priced items
the items are about $5-$20 at the most, so there is not much attention drawn there
2 months is early, but so far its good, slowly selling. iwill wait until the 3rd month
im basically doing everything the in the same pattern.
1st off i dont go on ebay everyday to list items, i only sign on when its time to list and when i do so, i restart the comp ,disconnect my modem and go to my 2nd windows account and dial up, and sign on. then i list or re-list my item, however long it takes and sign off.
2nd i dont save any internet info like cookies or history and it clears every time i close firefox
i disconnect from dial-up and switch back to my regular internet
as for dial-up, you get a different ip adress every time you sign on
i also have a new ebay account which i use on my regular internet to buy items and it has links to my old accounts but i only buy items from there only. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 02:29 AM. | |
