Half.com Asking for tax id or ssn for 2011?

I bought a stealth account about 8 months ago and have been pretty much using it on Half.com. I just got a notice from them asking for either a tax id or ssn. What should I do? I do have a tax id number can I use that? Or does the names have to match?
