| productpast | 04-21-2011 11:41 AM | Anybody use TERAPEAK? Hey Gang,
Anybody out there use TERAPEAK? What do you think? Share your story's with it please :) |
| mattytman | 04-21-2011 12:37 PM | |
| DAILYHUNDRED | 04-21-2011 12:41 PM | strange I just bought it last night haha, its a great tool to see what is selling the most. You can pretty much steal other ebay sellers top selling items and also see how much they sell per week, 30days whitch items. etc. Well worth the $24 in my opinion. |
| ShadyOne | 04-21-2011 12:41 PM | I normally use 'completed listings' etc for stuff like this.
I am looking at that Terapeak site now, looks pretty impressive, I would like to know if anyone has tried it as well? |
| DAILYHUNDRED | 04-21-2011 12:43 PM | you should just invest in it its only $24 bucks. You won't truly know until you use it. Its 100x better than completed listings. |
| ShadyOne | 04-21-2011 01:02 PM | ^^^OK but you have only just bought it :suspicious:
I will PM you in a couple of months and ask you then  |
| DAILYHUNDRED | 04-21-2011 01:12 PM | yeah I just bought it and I have a whole notebook page written down with new items I have discovered that are selling and easy for me to get can get my hands on :) extra $$$ and more niche ebay accounts :D |
| unkown5454 | 04-21-2011 02:42 PM | I have been using it for 2 years, and a total investment of $400. Nothing else compares to it and it was well worth it. If you can afford the service, do not hesitate. It makes it extremely easy to find new items to sell. Gotta spend money to make money kiddies...
And no, searching "completed listings" on EBAY cannot contend with this service. It goes far more in depth and all the way back to 1 year history. Not to mention, you can also purchase packages for EBAY'S international sites. |
Good info - I would chip in 50/50 if anyone wants ha |
| Sandy D | 04-22-2011 01:17 AM | I used it every single day.
I follow items, sellers, competitors and most of all since I do sell antique items I can research the items coming up for auctions "before" I even bid or buy them.
I usually research the items coming up, prices, start times, end times, descriptions, key words, category etc and know what to pay for the items and when to list them and how much.
Works like a charm for me.
I make back the 24 bucks with 1 item purchased at an auction easily.
All have it on my phone so when I can out looking around for items at thrift stores, auctions, yards sales etc I can research before I buy it.
Even research all of the new stuff I sell and watch the other sellers carefully with terapeak.
Well, well worth the money. |
| jeffweico | 04-22-2011 02:03 AM | I prefer Vendio. They have the completed listings as well, but only for the USA, I believe. I don't know if it is better than TeraPeak, it is just that I found it first.
When I find something I'd like to sell, I use it to see how many items are selling and the average prices. It enables me to make better buying decisions. |
Decent systems the both of them. |
| newtools | 05-23-2011 01:56 AM | i would go haves buddy, but what about being loggin from two ips and 2 countries ? lol |
I've been using Terapeak ever since I found it, maybe 6 months back.
Would I go around telling ebay sellers to go get it?
Heck NO!
The reason being, terapeak is actually soo soo soo helpful, I dont want any of my competitors getting their hands on it.
I actually came across this thread a couple of days ago, and thought about tellimg you lots what you're missing. Then I also read another thread somewhere here about how much dough you suckers are already making on ebay and decided against it, lol.
But I feel like I owe it to this forum to let you all know that NOTHING beats terapeak. Comparing Ebay completed listing search to terapeak is like 6th grade maths compared to rocket science.
I use it almost everyday. I've got a one year subscription which cost me a pretty penny which I could've used to buy a new GHD straightener. But I figured I could get 1 years worth of research which'll help me buy 10 straighteners instead :)
And although I am all for saving dough and all that jazz, when it comes to Terapeak, go all out. Any money spent on terapeak is money well spent (conditions apply).
And Newtools, you 're right, You CANT go halves on terapeak. Me and my partner tried using it simultaneously 1 meter apart, different IP though, and it wouldn't let us. So doubt it'll work continents apart.
At the risk of sounding like a terapeak salesman, I'm telling you lot, GO FOR IT! |
| brandrich30 | 05-24-2011 10:16 AM | I have been doing the same as Shady.... and have read on the forum before about people using terapeak. I am going to sign up for the month $24.95 to see how it works.
Has anybody added the hot topic for $6.95 to it? |
| newtools | 05-24-2011 10:45 AM | yeah i think im gonna do the all ebay sites w the hot pack? worth it?
if u get blocked or suspended by ebay how does that affect your terapeak since u u havea token to log in I see.
I also have a 14 day trial link. anyone interested? but it makes u login to ur ebay acct to use it! |
| Shikimaru17 | 05-24-2011 11:07 AM | When I go to the sell an item page it has a sample of terapeak. |
| UnderBites08 | 08-30-2011 04:33 PM | Might try this out soon |
| Sandy D | 08-30-2011 05:28 PM | If used correctly terapeak can make you money.
I always know what an item I am going to list is selling and what it is selling for.
Also know the time and day listed, how long it is listed for etc. |
| Sooner | 08-30-2011 06:49 PM | @Sandy D ~ last month I opened a booth at a local (Dallas area) antique mall. I am always searching (thrift stores, garage sales, etc.) for items to include in my booth. Do you believe Terapeak would help with my booth as well as my brand new soon-to-be selling @@@@ eb account? |

Yes. For both buying and selling in both.
I also sell in many antique malls and Terapeak is based solely on online sales and not booths in a mall, but you can get an idea of pricing. You will find on very good antiques and collectibles you can get a bit more for your items in a good antique mall rather then on ebay.
I always test ebay and if a very good item does not sell for what I want for it on ebay I take it to the mall and usually do better with it. Hint for ya!
I use terapeak on my cell to research items in malls, garage sales, thrift stores and antique auctions before I purchase them. If there is a good auction coming up I have my list ready to go and know what I should pay for the item before I even get to the auction.
Same thing with thrift stores and yard sales. I grab the items I believe I want and terapeak them quickly to see what they are selling for on ebay. Of course in my area people will run you over for a good antique so you have to be moving quickly. :>
Terapeak pays for itself for me in one single auction I attend by telling me what to pay for something at the auction.
Ex:
I researched a 1940s train set that was online with pictures before I went to an auction recently. I found several sets sold for 400+ and a few below 200 so the found the difference was a certain train car that drove the price up. I looked over the pictures and that particular car was on the table at the auction, so I knew I could easily go to 300 on it and still make some money.
I got it for 140 and sold it for 440.00.
When I get to the auction I go up and down the rows of items to be sold before the auction starts and terapeak them to death. Not everything at an auction is shown online.
Hope this helps you make some money at your yard sales, auctions, thrift stores etc. |
| Sooner | 08-30-2011 07:20 PM | Can Terapeak be used with multiple eb logins (like Auctiva and Sellers Sourcebook)? |

I have had no problems so far and used it for a long time.
If terapeak shares ip with eb we will find out real soon, but so far no issues.
Another tip for me is I keep a laptop running on my main eb account and if I need to research anything I get on that laptop, research the info and go back to the other laptop with the Ip checked etc and use the information from laptop 1. |
| Sandy D | 08-30-2011 08:45 PM | Hey wait, a Sooner in Texas.

:eek::eek::eek::eek: | You read that correctly ~ a Sooner girl in Texas! We used to live in Oklahoma and have been in Texas for the past 4 years. My hubby is an Arkansas Razorback fan. There is peace in the house unless the Sooners play the Razorbacks in football (which hasn't happened in a long time). Boomer Sooner and Woo Pig!!
:cheer: |
| conan0427 | 08-31-2011 07:02 AM | I just bought it, I see I'm ranking 6th in my catagory, need working harder on it :D |

I assume most of the time when you are using Terapeak on your iPhone (garage and estate sales, auctions, etc.) you are using 3G and not your home wireless network.
I currently have one computer (Apple Mac Mini desktop) so I cannot research like you do with two laptops. I may need to get another computer/laptop ~ that is after I start making some money via my new stealth eB accounts! Money has been tight since eB shut me down. My booth is less than two months old and I'm still learning the antique mall booth ropes. |

Just a rule I have so I do not ever take the chance with the IP because I use the phone to tether different IPs and do not want to make that mistake.
An terapeak shows you the info without even going to ebay. The item, what it sold for, pictures etc all show up for you. |
| Sandy D | 09-03-2011 10:42 PM | Yes, I use 3G when I am out at a yard sale, auction etc. |
| LoopHole | 09-04-2011 03:16 PM | I just purchased it today. Bought the $24.95 version. Only used it for about 10 minutes. I can see that it has a lot of potential after using it for a while and actually learning HOW to use it. As of right now i don't really know much on how to use it, only been using it for 10 minutes. If i dont gain any progress on learning how to use it in the next month im probably going to cancel my subscription. |
| KingRay | 09-04-2011 03:23 PM | I just signed up for it after reading this post the other day.
Sofar I just have realized my competitors are making much more than me.
I need to pick it up.
I also think it sucks that you cannot see any auction text or photos past 90days.
Does anyone know of a way to do this? I recently obtained some stock like I had 4-5 months ago and dont want to mess with writing all new text for them. I would like to go and use the text I had on the auctions back then.
I remember vendio used to hold the info longer but havent used them in 8 years now.
At this time I dont see much use for it when selling in a specific niche. The cost just isnt there for me.
It would be awesome if I were just out buying random stuff and wanted to look it up.
I feel the regular ended search is fine for me. atleast until I learn more about the terapeak deal. |

I use the save seller a ton so I can keep an eye on certain sellers.
I also like looking at the very successful sellers info such as when they list, when they end, the price they start at etc.
For individual items I use it all the time. Every single day really.
I just used it to buy something on craigslist to resell on ebay. That one purchase will be more then the 24.00 I paid for the entire month of usage. |

You are probably correct that if you have a constant stock of things it will help you learn what the other sellers are doing. Like you stated you found that the other sellers are making more money therefore the increased money will pay for itself.
You can also drop down to the 10.00 a month and just watch their changes or adjustments to your pricing, marketing etc.
I also like the avg price information, the sell through rates etc it gives me. |

The only thing i would see this useful is for just watching when items sell the best and when to list ect. Other than that its more useful for people who sell a big variety of items. |
| seanws30 | 09-11-2011 11:34 AM | which account should i use terapeak on? i have my first 2 stealths, and im working on starting up 2 more. i also have a legit account i only use for buying but right now its what i use for doing completed listings searches because its attached to the main IP at the house. ideally id like to take it on the road with me to yard sales/goodwill/wherever. |
| incniu | 09-11-2011 12:43 PM | Two-year Trend Reports is very good.
Is there Two-year Trend Reports for amazon.com ?:bump: |

Do not use a stealth account info.
I use my real name and a non eb and pp with terapeak.
The thing you have to watch is to not log into ebay through terapeak.
I use it all the time for yard sales, thrift stores, goodwill, auctions etc. |
| KingRay | 09-11-2011 09:46 PM | There just needs to be a search somewhere that shows photos and text for the auctions that sold over 90 days ago. Thats all I need. |

I cannot remember if it gets the photos and text after 90 days though.
Will try and see what I get and let you know. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 08:54 AM. | |
