No holidays, i was hoping for an easter splurge. oh well. I still am selling some, but nothing like hotcakes. This is probably why ebay instituted the new pricing. To encourage more sales, and more buyers placing minnium bids. I mean who starts at .99 cents or .01 now with free start anytime?

i start all my bids at 99pence to attract bidders..it works 85% of the time
This is normal for this time of the year. Sales slow down in summer, unless you sell swimsuits or ice cream. Especially ONLINE sales.
Not to mention, the economy is not helping matters any.
I'll be honest with you guys, this economy is scaring the S**T out of me! There is a lot of pain out there. Pain like I have not seen before in my lifetime. And I'm 45.
I was wondering why my sales this whole week were almost non-existent. Spring break. Not quite summer yet. I've been in a world of hurt these past couple days selling REALLY popular media. No sales so everyone's lowering their prices to truly obscenely low numbers. At least it should pick up next week...
I've noticed people aren't willing to spend as much for my items as they used to. I've also noticed not as many people are looking at them or "watching" them. I've been investigating other websites to sell on and talking to vendors on them. EVERY SINGLE seller has told me that more and more people are leaving Ebay and going to whatever website I'm on at the time. I sell vintage jewelry though and not sure if that holds true for other products/vendors on Ebay.
I have 99% items of health and beauty and there is near to zero sell.
Only dvd and cds and some small items like soap are getting buyers.
Zero sale of perfumes and gift! even though mothers day is coming soon. This i sgetting bit a scary now.
earlier buberry,Victoria's secret perfumes used to sell like hot cakes. Now if i start auction ,auction end at $4-5 instead of 20.So i am not selling at all.Why should i take a loss.
Other problem has ebay change some of their listing policies? Many buyers tell me it has become difficult to search for item.
Well, also - and yes sales are bad - the one thing you have to remember is that this is a Holiday week, with many private businesses closed on Friday. After Easter, things should pick up somewhat.
Summer + New eBay Limits for sellers + many other new sites is making me moving to other online market places. Ebay sales are a joke. Other market places are great and it is not many restriction as the ebay at this time.
I think people are just not spending much $$ right now. My NFL jersey sales slowed down but then again its off season. Yet, all the other prices on everyday items are rising. Not the hope and change I was looking for.

ebay has too much restrictions.. it seems they've gone back to the days of plantation ownership with strict bureaucracy.. they make things so hard as they're trying to please big businesses and have all these rigid rules hence making it hard for people to sell and with paypal limitations (earning interest on our hard earn cash) they don't care.. as such, customers are reverting to markets to buy their items. Last year I was rolling in money and this year i'm not... I'm listing less and less until things pick up.
My sales have gone down as well. Im wondering, with the new free .99 cent listing, would you raise your shipping to recover costs? I've recently changed to free shipping to get my dsr back up, but the listing fees are going through the roof. I've noticed my sales slowed dramatically as well after that. Do you guys recover cost's in shipping? I've noticed some sellers do that to get bottom line pricing on items.
