dropshipping or packages sent to your house

Do you guys dropship or send packages to your house? If you send them to your house are you worried about getting sued if you sell xxxx items? And if you dropship what happens if a buyer wants to return an item?

Thanks

Here are my questions to you....

Can you think of any problems with dropshipping on eb ay?

Why would I get sued when I sell legit goods?

What do you think usually happens when a customer wants to return an item they bought of eb ay?

I will happily pass on what information I have learnt about stealth, as for business, this should be down to you to learn.

Dropshipping is when you sell an item to a buyer, you then buy the items from a company, that company sends the items to your buyer.

Just because you order from china, and have them ship to you, does not make it called dropship.

If you are too worried to buy and have shipped to your house, do not buy.

yeh dropshipping is better in terms of the time it saves you...i think you can instruct your buyer to ship the item back to you instead of origin...but this means you need to seriously trust the person your relying on to handle your dropshipping as ultimatley if anything goes wrong you would be at fault...whilst a good option, make sure you can count on the person your working with..

in the true spirit of stealth, what happens if a buyer wants to return an item to an address you made up? same thing as dropshipping IMHO.

You'll need to make sure you have access to the address registered on paypal...

Otherwise, you will have to risk telling the customer to send it to your home address through ebay messages, which is risky.

As for dropshipping or sending to your house. I personally used to dropship vero from china, as it's a whole lot easier and less time consuming.

You won't get in trouble for bringing in vero from china to your house.

Are you talking about selling counterfeits on eBay and having a supplier in China send them directly to your customers?

It will never work.

All incoming packages can be selected at random for inspection. When an item is seized, US Customs sends a VERY SCARY looking letter to the person receiving the package. It looks like a legal document. They use terms like forfeiture, seizure, infringement, incarceration, damages, etc.

Your customer will freak out, call eBay, yelling and screaming because they have now been dragged into this. They may even contact the police department to file a report against you.

If law enforcement gets involved, they will know how many were sold. If the volume is high enough, they will get your real information from the bank account attached to your PayPal account. Banks won't give your information to PayPal, but they WILL give it to law enforcement. If a government prosecutor feels there is enough evidence to convict you, then you will have to go to court, and then most likely to prison.

This is hardly a method of staying under the radar.

Just let it go man. Counterfeit items you make money on but in the long run you lose everything and have to start over. I admit I have done it. Thats a big reason why I am here. Do I do it anymore? No , I do not. Do I get tempted to do it again. Sure, it is super fast money. In the end when I look back at the money I have made I made alot more in the long run selling legit items.

The items might not go for as much but when you do your research there is so much to sell and sell auction style watching bids go up and up with a bunch of watchers. I always liked refreshing the page when I had a ton of auctions ending and seeing the sales number at the bottom left go up.

It is just not worth the hassle of dealing with returns and risking the account. You may get a 100 good feedback and everybody is happy but all it takes is one or two to really break chops and the account is toast

Go to the shipping talk sub forum on this messageboard. I think it's in the wholesale section.

Take the 2 hours and read it, all of it. It will answer all of your questions. You will learn a lot. You will also learn who knows what on this forum, and who is blowing smoke.

I will admit too that I have sold "bad" stuff from software to tons of others things. The return rate on "bad" things are much higher then legit things. I burned up many good and real info accounts. I had to start over with legit things but slowly.

Not worth the hassle....
