Just found the option on my phone to block my number. It shows me as "private caller" If anyone has a blackberry you should check it out just in case you might need to call pp or eb*y

Blocking your number does not always work, and it's been discussed before that it is not recommended by many people in the forums.

Take it from a pro, or two...... I've called ebay and paypal probably a thousand times over the last few years.

Simple put: *67 works for NON-toll free numbers - numbers like 800, 877, 866, etc will show your phone number.

Indeed..... but at the same time, they can see the number, they can also see that is has been blocked. Wouldn't someone calling you from "private" at least raise an eyebrow?

When you get shut down, it's usually automated by a computer. Then it goes to review, where a real person looks at it and ultimately decides whether or not to NARU the heck outta you, or they grant you passage. Calling them makes a GIANT difference in their decision.

So lets say you have 10 stealth accounts. That means you have 10 different numbers. Or you used some type of call forwarding service. Now lets say 5 of them got suspended. How the hell are you supposed to call them if blocking your number might raise questions.

It used to be eBay never ever phoned, but lately this is becoming worryingly frequent
