Listing a BuyitNow for a buyer allowed?

I was curious, I tried to give a second chance offer to a bidder and we agreed to lower the price 10 bucks. I believe I read that you are only able to offer a discount up to the cost of shipping. Is it allowed on ebay to do a buyitnow for the bidder. We have corresponded about it but I am so worried as this is my best account.

Is it against ebay rules to do this?

Thanks!

No particular rules about this - you can list anything at buy it now and have the buyer win it.

Personally, I would take it to e-mails and cut out eb ay altogether ha - bit risky (if buyer complains which is rare) but I would do it to avoid FVFs.
