| | | Littlemorestealth | 05-11-2011 07:52 AM | Limited from selling same type of item for 30 days Hey.
Have just gone to put up some more listings of a product I sell but I have been told I cannot list any more of it for 30 days.
The account is 2 and a half months old.
100% positive feedback.
Same day delivery, free P&P.
Will I have to wait 30 days or will the time go when I hit 3 months?
Is it worth me calling up eBay and telling them my intention to sell big?
The account is stealth but I have all the details for the person should I need them. Sell legit goods as well as the odd vero :D
Thanks! |
Welcome to the forums.
If you call eb ay asking to lift limits, be ready with documentation (ID, etc.) in case.
You will otherwise have to wait 30 days for limits to reset.
Best way to get around this is to 1. open up multiple accounts 2. (maybe) try selling on different eb ay sites. |

| GreenBean | 05-11-2011 10:11 AM | Is correct.
Such offers are not permitted and if a user is found doing that, they wil not like the consequences. :boink:
Do you understand? |
| Littlemorestealth | 05-11-2011 11:08 AM | Anybody? I pretty much want to sell some more items today. I'm thinking if I message eBay then they may lift my limits? |
| Littlemorestealth | 05-11-2011 11:09 AM | Have I missed something here? lol |

The offending post was deleted. :) |
I wanna see this deleted post =P ha
Anyhow - yes guess my post was a bit off the point. You are probably selling something that is restricted to 1 per 30 day cycle - NOT a good idea to try and push for higher limit on this item since your account is nowhere near established - 2.5 mos. old is NOTHING to eb ay and they can block for ID, etc.
Definitely make new accounts if you want to spread sales. What are you selling? |
| jnm0685 | 05-11-2011 02:15 PM | Dont Call them This happend to me I call them to lift limits, I was selling 100% original perfumes and send them my invoices and just because the shipping address was different they did not accept it, in top of that they limit my account, best thing to do is open another account but not more than 3 accounts I open 6 and on the 7th one ebay call me for more info and limit all of my accounts. also they told me lifts will increase as your account gets older they will let you sell more this is an automatic system. |
I open 6 and on the 7th one ebay call me for more info and limit all of my accounts /quote
I am figuring you have multiple eb ay accounts attached to a pa yp al? |
| Littlemorestealth | 05-12-2011 03:08 AM | Yea how would they link your accounts if they are all ghost?
It said no more listings for 30 days yesterday. If I try again today, will it say 29 or is this a standardised message until the 3rd month date?
Only reason why I was thinking of calling was because the amount of work it takes to make one listing. They are all same items but each is unique in it's own way so each listing will have to be half re-created. Gave me a headache the first time! |
| ktloog | 05-12-2011 10:57 AM | pls if you call them let us know what happens with you , i wishing you a good luck with them . |

I am figuring you have multiple eb ay accounts attached to a pa yp al? | Yes all with one paypal account, did not read the ebay stealth guide until later, also if your items are vero items whey will not lift the 30 day limit, its gets lift only with good feedback and time they only allowed you to sell 5 items per listing up to 5 times so if you have 25 items that are the same, you can sell 25 of them per month, another technique I use is if you are selling a vero item, on the title description try to remove the brand your selling and leave it only on the description, it will take longer to sell but you should get 5 to 10 extra sales a month. |
| bballaw1 | 05-15-2011 10:36 PM | So this just happened to me as well! I know you shouldn't put all your eggs in one basket when it comes to products but I do only sell one product. Ive been stealth on a few accounts for months and all of the sudden e bay has set a limit to only selling 5 of those items!
Now I know you can modify the listing and it works fine, my question is what happens if they catch you?? anyone with any experience?? |
| Littlemorestealth | 05-16-2011 04:17 AM | My item is vero.
Tried listing in another general category but couldn't get it to work. |
| bballaw1 | 05-16-2011 09:02 AM | I had to list mine in a completely different category. When you look at the whole category listing, I think you need to re-word what you product is so the very first part of the category is different.
I tried all the listing categories for the main type of item it is and it wouldnt work so I went to something else completely.
Hopefully it ends ok today. |
| jjjia | 05-17-2011 09:11 PM | I have those limitations too on my previous (suspended because linked accounts). I found this to be useful dealing with VEROs, as mentioned changing category helps little, what I did with 30 days listing limit is that I removed the brand name, list the item and then when I click next the limitation message is gone and I can list it. ( I did not get to list it because I scheduled it but before the scheduled listing started I was suspended.) | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 07:04 AM. | |
