NEW Stealth eBay and Paypal - Bank Account/Debit Card Question
 

Hi everyone, this is my first thread. I had a business on eBay for 10+ years before it got shut down by eBay! I bought the stealth book and am going to set up a few stealth accounts following those instructions.

Just a question: I want to get a bank account/debit card from Bank of America to use with eBay/Paypal. Can I get the debit card under my actual name or should I use "doing business as" for this? Also, can the debit card be used to pay eBay fees so I wouldn't be paying them with the Paypal balance?

Welcome to the forums. Get the debit card under your name or business - does not matter but REGISTER the card under your stealth name.

Not sure on using debit card to pay eb ay fees - usually a gift card is always used by me.

Thanks for the reply! So when you say register, do you mean when adding it to eBay or Paypal? Do they even ask you for it? Also, what about the address when using the card: real or stealth? Thank you!

When i use the card - gift card - it's registered to my stealth address. Pa yp al account is in stealth info. When I say register, I mean that I use the same gift credit card for both. When it runs out to pay for fees, I use another.

So theoretically, do you even need any "card" at all? Can you just use the bank account to pay the eBay fees?

No, you can't
You can use Pa ypal/Credit Card/Direct Pay Only to pay your ebay fees.
so its ok not to use your pp balance to pay your ebay fees but which payment method are you going to accept for your sales?

I would use Paypal. I was just wondering if I could use the debit card from my bank account to pay the eBay fees?

It's better not to use your bank account, your paypal account for fees & use a gift card. Doing that gives you more control over paypal touching your account.

@moustafa, I am tallking to a USA user who have better opportunities to do this.:juggle:

there isn't that option in ebay that enables you to pay fees through your debit card.

what do you think about paying fees using my credit card while accepting payments for my sales through the stealth pa yp al ?!
would that work for the long run? and can it be used for buying stuff from ebay and getting it shipped to the same address? (different than that in the stealth pp) ?!

Can't you just use the debit card when choosing "credit card" when it asks you how you would like to pay the fees? Using the debit card they can't see your bank account information, correct?? Also, when you try to list the first item it says you have to add a credit/debit card...

Okay awesome! So I shouldn't need anything else besides the stealth eBay/Paypal acct, bank account with my real address name etc, doing business as, and debit card doing business as? Is there anything I may be missing in terms of "stuff" I need? Thanks once again for your time : )
