Wow, i send nice little messages to each of my customers that dont leave feedback, just saying hoping you're enjoying the product please leave posative feedback. Almost all do, and then this morning i get a delightfull mail from someone saying why they cant leave it. They must be a screw loose to write this all when i was asking for feedback.
In the end i just said sorry, as i couldn't risk getting an unposative feedback haha
i mean just because i check my items before i ship.. wow
I can't give you positive feedback because this item was not brand new. "Brand new" at eBay means in shrink-wrapped packaging --- this item was not in shrink-wrapped packaging and had clearly been opened and used. You said that you opened it to test it when I pointed this out --- that may be so but it should NOT have been advertised as "brand new" then, but as excellent condition like new.

You are actually right. USA has the worst customers I have ever dealt with. I will admit this every day, any day.

Well it is true that in the U.S. a lot of people think they have the right as a buyer to do almost anything they want to a seller.
Remember, the customer is always right! |

I can't give you positive feedback because this item was not brand new. You say it was advertised as Brand New yet you say that is NOT what you provided her according to Ebays guidelines?
You sent her a package that was already opened then she expressed dismay
Then later you asked her to give you positive feedback despite her true feelings?
Does this make sense to you?
Maybe I've missed something....

Some people are sticklers for stuff like that. Just hope he doesent leave a feedback now.

No the item was brand new, my products don't come in wrapping, though i put a sticker on the opening saying '' contact me if void '' wasn't broken, hence it was new she was the first owner of the item.

not everything new is shrinkwrapped. When I sell software, alot of it has two circular transparent stickers on each end of the package. You can usually tell if the sticker was tampered with. ebay should edit the "new" description in their guidelines.

This is the reason I NEVER ask for feedback like this. I have done it 3 times EVER in the past on old accounts and 2 of those times the buyer said the same thing. Gave me some long email on how it was not as described and he wasnt going to post since he didnt feel comfortable with a positive.
All I did was remind him of the bad experience and he posted a neutral. wasnt worth it. who cares what your number is on ebay.
I would NEVER do that again. it only asks for trouble in my eyes. Look what it did for you.
However I do put a note in the package asking for 5 stars but dont bother them if it goes weeks without feedback.

Probably should have listed as 'New Other' and placed in your listing that it has been opened for testing. You could have then pointed this out to the buyer if they never noticed.
If the item is not in the same condition (sealed etc) as when you received it from your distributor, retailer, manufaturer, then even though it is debatable, it should be listed as 'New Other' and mentioned within the listing.
The one I get a lot is when I used to ask people to leave me feedback, they would leave the feedback within the reply to the message I sent them instead of through eBay's feedback system

he left negative feedback, insisting that i dont know what like new condition is smh lol | Customers like that are so common. Nowadays, I avoid using "Like New" on software listings. Even if it is fresh out of the box mint condition, I grade it as "VG". This helps weed out headache buyers that like to open a "not as described" dispute. Also helps you avoid the 1 & 2 star ratings.

One out of 10 send me a pm instead of the fb and maybe 1/ 10 of those leave me pos feedback later..as if they've finally figured it out LOL
