error message when creating account today anyone else?
 

Just tried to create a %100 legit business account today for a family member of mine and after the 3rd page of registration I kept getting a Sorry we are not able to complete the registration message in red letters. So I retried 3-4 more times...restarted pc, restarted mifi box, cleared cookies...and so on then went to re- register and now its saying my email is already registered with ebay??wtf? so I check the email address no email sent with confirmation. Then I checked the same screen name availability and now it says it was taken.

I called ebay and was on the phone with them for about an hour to the point where the guy tried to register again for me with a different email and different ebay id and then he got the same error message and said he would pass it onto his tech department behind the pearly gates that has no phone....

So is this just a glitch in ebay's system like it looks like or have they implemented voice recognition in their phone service? or are they using ESP in their methods of registration blocking?

This has happened to me in the past. Be patient, wait a day or so and try again.

completely unlinked it was this persons first ebay account ever at a address with no previous ebay users. Computer screen name was new, ip all new. It wasn't just me getting the error it was the ebay rep too.

Yeah, i've gotten it before. Sometimes switching browsers help for me.

I will give firefox a shot here tomorrow....its been a minute since I tried opening a new account and had not see this message before.
