| ebaystinks1784 | 06-13-2011 04:05 PM | Item/Money limit I have a 100 item / $5000 limit. I really don't understand how it works. If I reach the $5000 limit on my 80th item sold and still have active auction listings does ebay automatically end those listings? |
| LadyLover | 06-13-2011 04:07 PM | yes they will |
| braga118 | 06-13-2011 04:20 PM | Thats not too bad, i have a limite of 10 items or 1.000$ thats not worst? lol |
| BigCJ | 06-13-2011 05:19 PM | You just wont be able to list any new auctions until the 1st of the next month. which by then will be reset back to 100/$5000 limit.
They wont cancel your auctions, but as youre on the last page of setting up an auction, an automated message will stop you and tell you that you have reached your monthly selling limits |
| braga118 | 06-14-2011 10:42 AM | Are you sure my limite will lift up to 100 items or 5000$ next month?
because i actually have 10 items or 1000$ :/ |
| JRYAN34 | 06-14-2011 10:51 AM | Here.....
Lets assume you have a 10/$1,000 limit and you listed some expensive stuff but the total starting listing price the items was below $1,000. As the bids rolled in you are now at $4,000. You will be fine, but for that 30 day period of your limit you wont be able to list any more items. A good example of this would be if you were selling a bunch of brand new tv's and you are limited. You should start them all at the same time and .99. |

because i actually have 10 items or 1000$ :/ | For 3 months you will be at whatever ebay decided when you opened your account. Typically 10/1,000 or 100/5,000. For me it was 10/$100, then after 3 months i called in and got it raised to 100/5,000. They then said to wait another month and it will get lifted if everything goes well. My advise, sell little stuff for guranteed feedback, until you can get unlimited. |
| bedarmy | 06-19-2011 01:18 PM | mine .. limit 50/$250 .. i sell 15 items and now sold out.. what i have to do?? waiting for next month evaluation? |
| BigCJ | 06-20-2011 12:11 AM | braga118: My monthly limits reset on the 1st like clockwork, and I have had a few stealth accounts and they all do that.
This is my personal experience though.
As for 'Lifting' or 'lowering' your limits, I have no idea about that :/
That depends all upon your performance in eb ays demented world :( |
| stevesokol21 | 06-20-2011 01:39 AM | they reset every month back so you can list. if you list 100 items with a $500 selling limit. start the bidding at $5 for each you are fine. if they all end at $25 each then you are at $2500 which is over your limit... guess what, you are still fine. ebay just regulates the first part. they dont take anything down.
by using the limit each month, which i think is a good thing to do, helps let ebay know that you are responsible enough to handle more and eventually they will raise your limit, unless you give them reason not to that is.

| SaiJin | 06-20-2011 11:29 AM | And would they still lift the limit even if you don't sell for 2 months?
Or does it have to be an active account? |
| stevesokol21 | 06-20-2011 11:55 AM | well an active account of course. why would they lift a limit on an account that doesnt do anything or isnt pushing the selling limit?
why would you have an account that isnt active anyways? just keeping them so you have them incase one falls?
thanks

| brickswall | 08-02-2011 05:29 PM | How do you guys know your money limit????? I used to have a 100 items limit but no idea about money limit, this month they let me list more than 300 items but no idea about money yet .......I usually exceed 5000 in sales every month.... |
| unkown5454 | 08-03-2011 01:59 AM | Seller Dashboard... |
| brickswall | 08-04-2011 05:08 AM | Hi, I have checked my dashboard loads of times and I can't find anything related with items and money limits, Could you be more specific please?????? thanks |
Try this - clock on Seller Dashboard - in middle of the page is a link for something like "See how you are doing globally" - click that - Once done, now you look for a little US flag icon in the middle of the next page to go back to eb ay.com seller dashboard. Should show limits at bottom of page.
If not - first q: how much have you sold? | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 04:12 AM. | |
