The suggestion is made that ebay have been spewing ⊗⊗⊗⊗ listings (690,000 total), to pad out their statistics, if they have to do that, issues may be worse below the surface than many thought

its mighty odd, could have been a "bug", but.. I don't see how those postage prices could have been set with info from shopping.com, unless shopping.com has stupidly high shipping prices, in which case if ebay owns shopping.com they're being kind of hypocritical with the DSR's

yeah. If they are padding the listings, they're doing it for their shareholders, to prevent them from thinking that eBay is taking a hit. Which means, if they are padding listings, they are seriously taking a hit.

If that is what they are doing it is illegal isn't it?

I went to ebay and loked up member sdc_Prod_434012 and there were like 27 items listed and i looked at a couple of them but then by the time i tried to look at the 3rd one they were all gone:eek: And the whole time is said that they were not a registered user but yet they had items up for sale:confused:

And ebay bug? Yea right. I expect shopping.com and ebay are 2 totally different platforms.

ebay is filthy.

Its absolutely illegal, its the share trading equivalent of shill bidding.. it's basically fraud.

But whose going to enforce it? This may be something that comes up later, if ebay ever falls bad, once they've been ripped to shreds they'll be ripped to shreds some more when issues like this come out of the wood work. I'm not saying that as a matter of bitterness toward ebay, I'm saying it because that seems to be the way it goes. It's called recompense. :(

Personally I'd rather it didn't come to that, I have no pleasure in peoples demise.

I looked up SpectrumSuperStore it doesn't exist, it's still sdc_prod_434012...

Do a search for sdc_prod_434012. It will then appear as SSs.
