Do ALL new accounts have a selling limit?

I just created my first new account in a year. Did it by the book, so it is a very good stealth account. I am new to the "selling limits" since last year they didn't have them. I was going to wait about 2 or maybe even 3 weeks to list my first, a very small priced none high risk category item to try to gain some feedback. Do ALL new accounts have a selling limit? Just wondering everyone has experienced this. Thanks!

Not all new accounts - but many yes. All the best as you experiment your way.

I will expect a limit then. Someone else told me that its under the radar but Ebay is becoming much more limited on accounts located outside of the U.S. They said ebay lost millions last year because of the inability to even send unpaid debts to debt collectors overseas so they are making it tougher on people outside of the U.S.

The selling limits would be fine for me. But I cant ever get passed the MC010. Soon as I list an item, doesnt matter if its a $2 picture frame. I get hit with the MC010 email. *******s. Good luck with your endeavors though man. :juggle:

Well then your are creating your accounts the wrong way my friend. Out of 5

stealth accounts I create 2 have no selling limits :)

holyhell 07-16-2011 02:37 PM

I've got limits on my most recent stealth, but no holds from PP. That's a new one for me.

vigilantex69 07-16-2011 02:47 PM

I'm waiting the month to start selling, I truly believe this is makes a big difference. Let it age a month then start. I will update as soon as I list my first item.

Coldcotes 07-17-2011 02:20 PM

I created a stealth account about 6 week ago and verified both eb and pp they both have no limits on either eb or pp :) I can sell owt and as many as I want and also no pp hold on funds

yellow0102 07-17-2011 03:25 PM

LOL- when will i run into one ;)

unkown5454 07-17-2011 03:46 PM

Even if you get no limits, that does not totally mean you are able to make thousands without being stopped.

If you create a new account and fire up hundreds of sales, you will be stopped and ask for identity verification and proof of invoices.

I have'nt gone totaly mad with the selling i didnt list owt for a month or so then just listed a few bits of tat for a few weeks and now just list around 10-15 items a week and no vero. i have another account maturing at the moment just in case...

unkown5454 07-18-2011 02:17 AM

oh well in that case your are more than safe there

Here's an update on my situation. I created the account about two weeks ago. Today I listed one item because I was trying to get some quick feedback. Non high volume or risk, it will probably sell for $2.00 or $3.00. Started a 3 day auction, starting bid a penny. I went to look at the item and at the very top of my seller status it says you can sell up to 10 items per month or $1,000.00.

I have never seen this before, my last eBay account was good to go no limits on anything so I never bothered. I created this to a T as well following the stealth guide, the exact same way my last account that went over a year with no limits or limitations was done. I was fondling around and clicked Request Higher limits. It now says "We're unable to increase your seller limits. We couldn't verify your personal information, but we've saved any changes made to your account"

Did I **** up by clicking that? It says I can call or something now or link an established seller account. Will the limit still automatically be lifted after 90 days? I am just wondering because this is going to take FOREVER to sell ANYTHING at 10 friggin items a month!!! Any now that I clicked that will the limit even go up at all?

I linked a fully verified PayPal account up to this Ebay account as well before listing. It should be fine, but I am not sure what these limits mean.

vigilantex69 08-02-2011 08:19 PM

By the way it says call to discuss my selling goals? What will happen when I call them?

unkown5454 08-03-2011 01:55 AM

That call is innocent, but can potentially involve requesting invoices.

Just act normal, but what happened is your registration information did not check out with public records when you attempted to request the limits. Or you failed their quiz.

vigilantex69 08-03-2011 09:54 AM

I have heard nothing but bad things about calling them. Preferably I would like to get an account with higher limits to begin with. Anyone have one they would want to sell? lol

rsot 08-03-2011 10:06 AM

JBluntz prob has some - maybe even some other sellers like 123; Lakeman was on it before,

lzgwjxd 08-03-2011 08:59 PM

I was open a new ebay account to sell some stuff, when i use auctiva to list, it says that ''To help new sellers like you get used to selling and delivering the level of customer service you need to succeed, we place selling limits on accounts. You’re currently limited to 10 items per month. As a new seller, you need to establish a positive selling history and show that you're able to meet the needs of your customers before you can use a listing tool. Please try listing your item again using Sell Your Item on eBay.co.uk.''

But i do not want to use Sell Your Item on ebay site, anybody kown how can i use auctiva to list??

Please help me.

Thanks!
