buyer protection question
 

I purchased a solid silver necklace on ebay. 2 weeks passed and i didnt receive it, so i opened a case for that. 2 days later, i receive it, but its not solid, its plated silver. Can i close the "never received item" case and open a "received wrong item" case? If im not allowed to do that, what should i do?

HOPEFULLY - you are contacting the seller before opening ALL these disputes.

COMMUNICATION - goes a long way, for BOTH buyers and sellers alike.

Did the auction say solid clearly? If it didnt you probably wont win the case. I have filed a similar case long ago and lost it due to a simple clarical issue in the wording.

also do what TGMT said and contact the seller 1st. Communication is usually the thing that settles many issues. Its the people that go directly to filing cases that cause the most hassles. dont be one of them.

The guy thinks im trying to scam him, he states in his listing "Solid .925 Sterling Silver Chain 4.6 oz" But i already opened a case for not receiving the item, am i allowed to open a case for receiving wrong item as well?

call paypal and have them change case status

Just contact ebay about it in the chat sytem or email. That will get you the best answer.
