reseller / business license on eBay?
 

do i need to get any licenses to start reselling on eBay?

The answer can be yes or no.

If you are just selling your extras from around the house like garage sale, then no.

But if you are selling branded items new say from distributor at whole sale prices, you'll need a license to apply for an account from that distributor.

Do your research and start from looking at what product you want to sell first, then come back here and ask the question again.

if you are buying wholesale from LEGIT suppliers, the suppliers will REQUIRE you to have a business license. considering the questions you have been asking so far i am assuming that you have no idea what you are doing on ebay, so i would start selling small stuff around the house and learn the ropes

I do have what I want to sell.

As mentioned in another post where you asked this question. You really need to be more versed on online auctions in general. By asking that question I feel you need to research auctions in general before you do anthing else. Even just to understand how they work before you go and sell something.

Start on ebay by going to their sign up screen. From there just do some buying for a few weeks or so until you understand how the system even works. That is a must before anything else.

well you could get multiple stealth accounts unless you open up a Business account

you mean opening up a business account in paypal?

The people that have already answered this in 2 different posts now.

You already spoke of being in business already so even if you did need one wouldnt you not already have one?

If you are wholesaling then you are in business and already know the answer to this in detail. Probably more than many people on here do.

You need to learn online auction practices and see how it all works before you go ANY further. Just jumping into online sales as a wholesaler would be a disaster unless you know what you are doing, your competition, rules, etc.

People on here are not spending time giving you answers for their health. They are trying to help you as I am . If you dont want the advice then just dont take it. Re asking it over and over isnt going to get you any better answer.

Once again.......You need the VERY basics before you go further.

If you are selling 100+ you are not a private trader - if your country says you need a licence to trade then you need a licence to trade.

Coming on here and just giving a part of the story does not make people who can help feel kindly to you - you are extracting the urine:doh:

you are basically looking for people to take your hand and walk you through how to make 6k a month as effortless and easy as possible....you really need to buy the book, do your research, and learn from experience
