Ebay monitoring surfing activity?
 

This is likely to sound silly to most on this board, but it is something I just can't help asking. Is Ebay capable of monitoring and/or recording what items you browse for when using their site. For example, I have multiple accounts and I'm always searching for geiger counters on each of them. Would that leave a trail? I know at the very least they can track which sites you come or leave from their site.

It's best if you also check out some of your competition while your checking out your own accounts. Mix things up, all you can.

the real question is why you are so interested in geiger counters.. is there something about Canada I need to be made aware of?

If you watch that TV program about ebay. I think its called the "ebay effect". They clearly state that every click you have ever made on their sites is recorded and kept forever. They said that straight out.

searching on general internet sites, yes

Linking based on surfing activity is very low level and not worth fretting about in my opinion.

It's more when it comes down to RECEIVING AND SENDING $ that I would focus on.
