Default "I have reported you"

Some guy messaged me saying "I have reported you, each and every item." Now in the past, years ago, I myself tried to get rid of competitors and reported their items, but nothing happened. Because their listings were crafty enough to where, if they were reviewed, they didn't look suspicious.

I don't bother with competitors anymore, I just do my thing. So I'm not sure if my ship is going down or not. Anyone ever recieve empty (hopefully) threats?
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!

And should I pull my listings? They have a day left. I know they can still pull items even after closing.

I'm sure getting reported isn't the end of the world. Think about how many items get reported each day, and like you said yourself, many of that are just competitors reporting each other. Getting reported probably brings a little more attention to your listings, but unless it's obvious you're selling non-legit items or something, you should be ok.
No sense pulling the listings early, like you said, they can still be removed after being closed. If it's going to happen it's going to happen no matter what you do.

Like they do on ray ban titles etc.. I will always report the china sellers who spam their vero on there and get away with it..

and to be clear, they are all right there selling still... *******s. I will just sit on my product for now

I Don't really like that thing of report other people's listing, even when i know i have a reasons and proofs to shutdown that listing,i re hate the people report me(usually in the begining oy my carrier),and FYI.

Ebay don't pull a listing just because you report the listing, the listing must be miss spelled, selling fak's,item don't exist,Or Vero, etc, etc.

Why dose nt everyone stop worrying about what other people are doing and get on with your own selling. Also why kick someone down when your doing the same thing trying to make money. Its greed, imature and bad business for everyone. Its hard enough dealing with ebay and pay pal without having to deal with the vultures out there aswell.

I dont have time to worry about others, sure I know what they are selling and for what price and pick up their listing methods but I do not have time to sit and report anyone nor would I.

I can beat them without constantly reporting them.

I don't report people because I feel that It's going to come back on me. I have received many threats that I will report you, but I ignore it and have continued selling fine. I do agree though how the china sellers get away with selling sometimes on usa website.

I think it's adorable that everyone is high-fiving each other and whistling the tune, "I Don't Reoprt My Competitors".
I wanted to restate that it was something I did, years ago, when I didn't know any better. Hell, I use to smash mailboxes with baseball bats, I don't do that anymore either.
The question was whether or not any of you recieve threats, and I was curious what your reply was.

What people do not realize is that each time you report some one you make more difficult to sell on eBay for the rest of the people including yourself.

You basically are showing eBay that something is happening and that they have to take measures and put more regulations and stupid safety stuff that make things more difficult.

Yes maybe you will take down that competitor but guess what? next time could be you even without some one to report your listings. There was a tread in a bags web site 4 years ago about how they were reporting sellers every single day to eBay and to the bags companies..... now see how difficult is to sell a freaking bag on eBay even the genuine ones?

Now you go to this same forum and see that every single day some one is crying about how eBay took down their listing and their bag was genuine. Severs you well

Someone please lock this thread. Now it's being invaded by noobs that talk in run-on sentences, spell every fifth word wrong, and still don't address the original question.
