Default This is weird.... No selling limit????

Just made a seller account. I had this account aging for about 3-4 months now. Just turned it into a seller and i listed 2 things on it. I click all selling/selling activity and usually that is where you can see you selling limits. But on this account it does not say anything. Anyone experience this before?

Wait until you have a DSR rating of 10 then check - takes time - all the best though.

All New Sellers accounts have selling limits on them this has Always been the case with Ebay,,,However not ALL Ebay accounts SHOW You your selling limits on the Top of your "My Ebay" Page,,

I suspect that Ebay may Have Thousands of Servers in Multiple Locations that have NOT all have the Same Exact Ebay Software Updates on them yet and it is more a Question of if your account is being stored on an Updated server or Not,,,I also Believe that this is the Same reason for all of the Inconsistancies found on Ebay between accounts

When you get to about you 6th item it will tell you, you have a 10/1000 limit. Then when you try to list your 11th item it will tell you you exceed your limit. Click here to raise limit. There are easy ways around the dollar limit, and a couple of tricky ways around the listing limits.

I'll do you one better though. I have one account that has a limit of 10/1000, but I have been listing around 100 items/5000 for months now with no problem. Wish I could figure out what happened? I didn't even take the quiz or call in to attempt to raise.

@ebaysale, if this is indeed the case - you should experiment and analyze what you did. Lot of potential for your success to be increased then.

limits only last 3 months, although it is usually after your first sale it is not always the case, Some times you don't have to make any as you have just found out.

I have made many seller accounts with no limits and have sold hundreds of items and still

no limits. I also sell high risk items as well. :D

the only thing i can think of is it is linked to a verified paypal with a real credit card attached instead of a gift card.

That's a good first note - but again, I know limits show up after the 10th sale or so so wait a bit.

I agree with you Rsot. If this happens to never get the limits then this poster has done something they need to keep an eye on as it will be a huge plus in the future.

Every account i made my limit was shown soon as logged in and clicked my ebay. This is the first time my account has no limit shown. Hopefully it will remain that way after 10 sales.

If you want to tell the actual selling limit of your account without actually listing live auctions, just list a bunch that are SCHEDULED. Just keep listing until you hit your selling limit. Then when you see your limit simply delete all the scheduled listings. You won't get charged any fees (they're charged only when the listing goes live) and it will reset your selling limit.

I just experienced the SAME thing. I created an account, linked to a paypal that is only bank verified, not CC verified yet. Waited a month, then sold 6 items on Sunday, then 6 on Monday, then 6 on Tuesday of this week...so that broke the 10 item limit in two days with no message. Very weird....

Try listing a BuyItNow item with a quantity of 11. If there's a 10-per-month initial limit, it won't let you list it.

I forgot to mention that after the 18 sold items in 3 days, I got the message to contact ebay to verify the account. Had to send in some "doctored" up documents, but the limit stayed off. Jbluntz mentioned in another thread he had collected quite a few of them.
