Hi didnt see a post on this, did anyone see that investigation on eBay on channel 7's Today Tonight? its a short 7min investigation on how everything we already know about eBay.

Does someone mind summarizing what it says? I have dialup and don't want to wait 30+ minutes to download it.

it just says how ebay is bull**** like T&S, there is no such thing as buyer or sellers protection for paypal and how paypal keeps holding money to gain interest.

Does ebay have offices in most major cities like The Church of Scientology? If so, then every seller can go and stand in front of them to protest like they do for The Church of Scientology (google "Project Chanology")

hmm im not sure but i think they office in Sydney and i think i might be in like a tall building where companys share the building

wow, if i were you i would deff. watch that video, if its possible for you

it explains how ebay is getting worse and worse
the amount of people that sign up went from 43%or so to 23%
and there net income from 72% all the way down to 4%

there was also a story about a kid who bought a $1000.00 lens and he never got it and paypal never gave him any money back, even thought he bought insurance for then lens, paypal wouldnt give him the money because the seller provided ebay with a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ tracking number,

also there was also a case were a guy sold his scooter for $7600.00 and got thr money by paypal, and as soon as he got the money they limited the account > reason was unusual activity, he couldnt get his money even thought the buyer was very happy with the scooter he bought,

it also went on saying that all this negativity with customer service could lead to ebay's down fall

Although many consumers love the auctions on eBay, large cable television networks have decided to avoid them. According to the New York Times, cable networks such as Turner Networks, Discovery, Lifetime, and ESPN have all made the move to ban online trading by eBay. As a result of this move, eBay trading will essentially have no airtime to sell to advertisers. This whole idea of computerized buying and selling has raised several issues even from the beginning... such as taking the creativity out of advertising and reducing overall prices.

its an interesting video, and yes eBay does have a head office in sydney

if i were to guess id say about 80% are ⊗⊗⊗⊗

the program on the tv was good, however i think they missed a lot of point to mention like chargebacks and they failed to mention a lot on paypal, i have writen to today tonight to do a follow up and also told them my story how i got stung .... another complaint against ebay is a good thing.

i can guarantee and put down money more then half are ⊗⊗⊗⊗.

yeh i like to put down 100 bucks that half of them are ⊗⊗⊗⊗
