ebay selling limit: business vs individual account?

My ebay account has been more than 3 months old, completely verified and linked to paypal. Have 100% 5 star feedbacks. Yet my limit is still 10 items/$1000. It's driving me bat**** crazy.

I heard if you switch from individual to business account, your item limit can be increased to 50, is that true? Any difference between business vs individual account in term of selling limits?

thanks
ps: i pray everyday another company comes and destroy ebay, it is one of the worst evils in the world. The way it treats its sellers.

I have both business and premier accounts with the exact same limits, so far no benefit or at least no higher limits on business then premier for me.

Remember that the 10 items per month for 3 months limit starts after your 1st sale, not from the date the account was created or when you became a seller.

So if you joined on January 10th, became a seller on February 10th and sold your first item on March 10th, it would start counting 90 days from March 10th.

Is it 3 months from first sale or 3 months from first item listed for sale?

From when you sold the first item. If you listed on August 1st and sold it on August 7th, then the 90 days starts from August 7th.

So would you say it's not really important to "age" accounts anymore?

KingRay 09-12-2011 09:35 PM

I feel its completely what you sell. People never believe me but I have never had a limit from the 1st day I listed. Even on newer accounts that are just created within the last few months. nothing.........

NO I wont tell you what I sell. :nono:

Yes it is as age of an account plays into the entire thing.

For me I listed my one item, sold it, got feedback and let it sit for a few months. Now they are going very well with the majority of them not having any limits.

newdude05 09-13-2011 01:27 AM

Yes i am counting since the first selling feedback is left, and it's been 3 months beginning of last week. Does anyone know how long it takes before my limit is increased?

thanks

lol....your seriously delusional

eBay & PayPal are the kings of online auction, and always will be. The faster you accept it and follow the rules the more success you will have. Thats like saying I hate the police and I cant wait until something better comes along. It isnt going to happen. Follow the rules and you will have NO issues.

For me at least, if I let a selling account age without at least try to sell something, I always get call to verify when i list items after a few months.

I think there's 2 options ...one is to call, the other is to enter your security question.

Artann 09-16-2011 10:43 PM

I have both, no differences in limit.

NotAHappyBunny 09-17-2011 08:31 AM

its what you are selling - i have 100 items p/m on new acct's.
if I was to list certain items - i know id get limited, so I restrain myself for a while - then list them SLOWLY for a few months.

renzini 09-18-2011 01:50 AM

I always have same limit 10 items /$1000 Month. No matter what I list.
Why Limit is not based just in money like amazon?? why 10 items? I don't understand the idea of the 10 items limit? 10 iphone screen covers is not the same as 10 3G iPhones. I think this idea will going to kill eBay in the future.

eBay just has their panties in a bunch. Greedy a-holes. but if you have like 20 accounts, that is 200 items and 20k per month ;D

if you have two or more accounts and have them all linked together. will ebay still let you sell 10/$1000 per account?
