when to start selling on new stealth account

hey guys I opened my first stealth account on aug 23rd. I sold 2 things (used items around my house) in that time frame and got positive feedback for both. then i bought 3 cheap items to get feedback and spread them out evenly. I now have a total of 5 positive feedback. when is it safe to start selling brand new items?

thank you in advance to the people who help answer my question.

Do you mean brand new items as in... a new iphone case or as in a new designer handbag?

For random generic items you can sell them almost right away, doesn't matter if they're new. For items that have VeRO members on eBay you should wait longer, I'd say the account should be a seller for at least a month with at least 10 DSRs.

I ALWAYS Buy and Sell COMMON NoN VERO Items right up until my first Review --which comes 90 days after you sell your first item. I Often accumulate 40-50 Feedback before I Really start to sell on the account. I find that this works best.

Solid tips from Slapped - i work with a bit shorter time span but no "vero" or crap to start with.

You stated brand new items?

Without telling us what the items are, are they vero items? Risky items? Name brand items?

If any of these then no, do not list them with only 5 fb and 3 of the 5 fb being a seller fb.

What people do not understand is having a few buyer fbs here and there do not help you at all when you go to list risky items?

I am not for piling up a ton of buyer feedback because it does not help you that much other then to get you from 0 so buyers will take a close look.

I say 90 days and 30 items... Until I sell any vero items.... Not solid and still narrowing it down with trial and error. I have listed successfully with 15+ Feedback on some accounts and not on others. However those accounts with 90+days and 30+ feedback always ok without problems.

I used to buy about 20 feedback then sell about 20 cheap items at any age. Now I just sell on brand new accounts sometimes a day old with zero fb and that can work to but the former way is better just a little more time consuming.

i start selling right away small things for the first month and try to get at least 10 dsr's, after its no longer a new account.. i go ahead and REALLY start selling :)

jbluntz 09-19-2011 12:13 AM

I've managed to sell $1000 dollar items on new accounts with only 1 or 2 fb and get every penny out of paypal sometimes 2 or 3 even, of those same items.

dannyisastud 09-19-2011 01:22 AM

well i am thinking of buying used video games and selling them on ebay?

dannyisastud 09-19-2011 01:28 AM

non vero items

jbluntz 09-19-2011 01:31 AM

That works to, I've sold many video games on new accounts including DS but those are the ones you want to stay away from.

HurricaneHuntr 09-19-2011 07:05 AM

Like previously stated I've sold name brand on new accounts and no problems. It's random and if the bot flags you. But always safer to build an account. But sometimes we don't have patience for, that. That being said, sell cheaper name brands with small profit to build feedback. I try to bit 15 or so. It's always good to have a star

I always sell immediately, but just junk from the garage. Small stuff that's cheap to ship. I definitely don't make any money during that time, but I get the feedback and reputation.

Before the month is out, I usually add in a money maker, just to test the waters.

most new accounts all get limited. Or are you listing something not so high risk.

jbluntz 09-27-2011 09:14 PM

That's been common knowledge ever since I've been here to start off selling safe items. I don't think I've ever listed a high risk item for first item.

Wait 90 Days Much Safe Plus 21 Day Hold Will Go

What cheap items or keywords to buy for feedback? It doesn't make sense to buy anything greater than $1 just for the feedback purpose only. I find digital images (that sellers usually call "art") and coupons pretty cheap between 1-11 cent each with free shipping but these items could raise a flag with eBay for feedback manipulation.

rsot 09-29-2011 10:37 AM

While those indeed can raise a flag, you can be successful with them if you operate effectively.

I sell brand new vero items right from my account opening. I am just very detailed and lots of pictures, description, and things that consumers want to see. I do 1 item a week and slow down a bit and try to make sure I get positive feedback. Only about 10% of the time is when an ebay account gets limited.
