Auction Ended,eBay marks as Paid ready to ship but No Money in Linked PayPal
 

Hi ,
I havent visited in a while but I have come across a certain difficulty today. I had my auction end and some of the buyers paid, well so it seems, on eBay i have 7 items ready to be shipped, all are marked with a Dollar sign as paid.
Now when I log into PayPal the balance is 0 and there is no money in my account.
In my messages eBay writes: We have your money please ship the item ( giving me options to add tracking or simply mark as shipped), this was the first auction on the account and the PP has been verified, linked to eBay account ( i double checked that) and also I double checked whether the email address has been verified and confirmed with PP, it has.
What do I do? I have never seen this kind of this even though I have had some experience with accounts.

How does it say the payment was made? I think they can check it as paid and with check or paypal. If they sent you a check and clicked it as paid then it will say that.

Email them and ask them how they made payment and tell them what you are seeing on your screens. I have had glitches before and with a simple email to the other party we figured it out between us. I would start there. They may have just checked it as paid and planned on paying it later and didnt yet.

also is it an echeck, did you read the email closely. Just checking.

Actually when I go over with the mouse on the dollar sign ( Im dealing with eBay in Europe) it says paid with PayPal and then I look for the icon where it says display PayPal transaction and there is nothing, no such option.
eBay email is the strangest because it says we have your money, who does? eBay ,really? ,made me laugh but I am laughing no more cause I got 2 more days to send the item.
It is not an eCheck either :(
oF course there are the pending payments with Hour Glass there too but im not too worried about them at the moment :/

I would surely email them then. It might be a spoof email or something but dont see how it would say that on your auction page though. Or is that still listed as not paid? Either way, I would email them.

I have had this before and the payment email address in your listing is misspelled. Do you still have active listings? Then under payment info check the email address. The best solution for this problem if possible, create a email account with the misspelled email address and then add that to you paypal...Boom your funds will appear. Currently they are unclaimed. Hopefully nobody else has this email address already...

Ps. Dont look at linked email address to ebay... actually look at the email address in the listing.

This has happened to other folx when the e-mail of your selling account on pp is misspelled - nothing pending in your pp right?

There was an error on Ebay Uk (at least) when items that have been paid through Payp al were not correctly updated as paid in Eb ay. It seems that your problem is the opposite.?

Well guys, thanks for the answers.
Seems that the paypal is actually spelled fine but
Now I've read ( German eBay) that eBay will release the funds to me
up to 14 days after I mark the item as shipped and it will go to my PP account .
It seems to be an official thing now I guess since there is a page about it on there.
There are no pending payments on PP, no emails came through to let me know about any initiated payments.
I hope that the money will end up showing on my pp account as this is at least 2K in sales that I have hanging in the air and I have to ship the items so customers know im reliable.

Sounds like a typical spoof email from a scammer

Did you check to see if the payments had been reversed?

Auctionbytes.com had an article about this glitch just recently.

Did Your PayPal-Funded eBay Purchase Disappear into Thin Air?

I'm having that problem also. Customer told me he payed and I havent received any notification from PP. 2 days later I got notification from ebay that they have my money ( wtf ) and they i need to mark item as shipped and/or enter tracking number. I dont know what to do, should i send the package and hope they will release my money or what? It is confusing right now. Is that a new scam prevention from Ebay, how can they hold someones money and how can I be sure thet I will receive money eventually. Can someone please help me out.

eBay are now trialling this new system of eBay holding payments as opposed to PP.

Well guys
today I received an email from eBay informing me that they have paid me for the first item, and now it is in my PP account. I just hope all can go this way because honestly I kept my fingers crossed sending all of my "paid" items and seems like it will pay off.
I will keep you all posted in case there is a hick up along the way.
