an idea to use paypal but not get linked to ebay
 

i have my own selling website and use paypal to receive money and that paypal account is never used with ebay.If i use the request money option of paypal and just write the item title not the item number also dont mention ebay,is that ok?

I thought about that too. I done a few out of ebay sales and everytime I did I sent an invoice through paypal. I made a few paypal invoices.

What I see in many forums, and I realize it may be a pain to do, but they will point at the already existing thread and close the conversation.

Also, the reason that so many people start brand new threads is the old threads are pushed off the main page and harder to find. When you make new entries to them, you rarely ever get a response.

Works sort of like EBAY. When your item is at the top, you get more bids than when it is at the bottom. :D

Not sure how to address that problem in a forum.

Doing a regular money request is fine to do (Don't do an auction invoice or put the auction number)...I do it with people who won't pay via merchant account...but probably not a good habit, more like a back up plan
