opening a second buyer account
 

I asked a seller to do a transaction outside ebay to save on fees. she was such a biatch, she started saying things like ebay deserves their fees and reprimanding me for suggesting such thing.
this was like a month ago. i didnt think much of it. but yesterday i decided that even if i buy it on ebay, its still a good deal so I went to buy it but it wont let me. i think the seller has blocked me. so I signed out of my old account, without deleting cookies or changing ips, opened new account and bought.
now i am starting to kind of regret that. does ebay care about buyer only accounts? this just seems too easy, anybody who gets banned for too many non-payer strikes can just open a new account?

Buyer accounts are way easier to get away with. But once you try turning it into a seller account then it becomes a different story.

But yes you can open multiple buyer accounts and most likely never have a problem at all.

The problem lies that when you get enough feedback+rep, the itch is to convert to seller account. Why not plan ahead?

Yes this is a good point. From your story, it seems as if you only have one account linked to that User Account and Paypal anyways. You aren't even pushing the limits to be honest. It is perfectly safe to create 2 Ebay Seller accounts with the exact same info except for a new email address and them link them both to the same Paypal account. If you have 2 Ebay accts on the same Paypal, them you dont have to worry about cookies aka you dont need to switch user accounts.

It is always a good idea to create 2 ebay seller accounts to one Paypal b/c is saves time if you have multiple Paypals/IPs to constantly switch between and it allows properly built/ maintained accounts to take much more heat.
